Still no pic of The Babe with Casey huh? Have you tried the granddaughter? Its not like like they were never in the same place - 3 WS....who knows how many Dodger/Yankee exhibitions in 33/34....very strange!

You would think there might be one, often on the same field.
But, could be they never posed together for one.
Granddaughter..... are you speaking of Linda. Was in touch with her often up to a couple of years ago, not any more.

I know we brushed on this topic earlier in this thread...but does anyone have a copy of the 1991 Babe TV movie starring Stephen Lang. I cannot find it anywhere and I really want to see it!

Here is a picture of Ruth(playing for the Giants in a charity exhibition game in October of 1923 just before Ruth and his Yankees would play against the Giants in the WS.The Babe and Casey were on the same team together for that one day(Casey would hit the first WS homer in Yankee Stadium).117800[/ATTACH]

I could really kick myself. The day it played on TV, I recorded it on a VHS tape.
When I moved about 8 years ago, some how it got lost.

I know, it's impossible to find a copy. I don't know why it's so scarce. Surely someone must have a copy! I hear it's the best Babe biopic of those that have been made.

It was an NBC made-for-tv movie, and those type of films from the big networks rarely make it to video release for various reasons. Maybe because Ty Cobb was played by Pete Rose (great casting, ugh).

Surprised that being a family member she has very little.You would think there would be more hand me down family pics.
Have not heard from her in a long time. Her last request, asked me if I knew her grandfather's shoe size, I did not kow that.
