    1930 Nyy

Here's the 1930 New York Yankees at spring training in St. Petersburg, Florida. Col. Ruppert shows up once again. Funny thing, only two players aren't wearing their pinstripe jerseys:
Babe and Lou. What...are they "special"!?! (ummm....yes....yes they are)
    Hahaha...Cheers! ~B

I tried putting this one though my Adobe photoshop, try to enlarge but it but I might lose some sharpness. The smaller original is not very sharp. Not much can be done with this one.

Looks like George was pumping some iron but it's natural, look at the arms and he's young in this pic.

Look out Canada! Here comes Babe & Lou!!!
Plus, the Canadian promo poster from that day.....gotta love how Lou's name is like 1/4 the size of The Babe's.

Heh heh... reminds me of that episode of "Odd Couple" where Felix decides to try his hand at being a writer because the writer's name is in larger type than the photographer's... "TEXT BY ARTHUR DUNLOW, Photographs by Felix Unger."

I see he's batting righthanded and the picture isn't reversed. Possible batting practice with the sparce crowd? or a game?

That perfect square shadow near the plate - a backstop?

That is a really strange picture!
I would guess it was batting practice...I've never heard of Babe batting right handed in a game. Although, he probably STILL would have been better than most. Haha...great find.
