    Thanks GordonGecko.
I've been collecting/editing these photos for years and they've come from a multitude of sources...way too many to mention here.
    Cheers! ~B

The photographs of the 1962 and 1964 Red Sox show equipment manager Don Fitzpatrick, who molested a number of black boys over a 20-year period. Many feel that the team and the management knew about his behavior and never acted on it.

Money eventually changed hands, but some lives were ruined. Those covering for him were never charged. He died years ago.

Sounds like Jerry Sandusky and his enablers, doesn't it?

Quite a bit of major league level talent on this team, including future Red Sox player/manager Bill Carrigan who led the 1915-16 BoSox to consecutive World Series Championships.

It's easy to forget that Joe Cronin got his start with the Pirates, although he only appeared in 12 games during the 1927 season before heading off to Washington in 1928.

This team was bad enough (62-100) that Yaz could apparently only manage to lend his disembodied head for the team photo.

There's usually nothing particularly exciting to report about a Class C team in the Pioneer League, unless that team has a 17-year-old rookie named Frank Robinson (2nd row, 3rd from left) who managed to hit 17 HR's with a .348 BA. A sign of things to come...
