Hard to say what the exact year is, BUT because it's at Shea...it has to be 1964 (at least). I really wish that all these Old-Timer's were filmed. Hank Greenberg in a full Tigers uni...how classic!

Old-Timers Day: June 23, 1963, Polo Grounds. L-R: Edd Roush?, Joe McCarthy, Hank Greenberg, Bill Dickey, Frankie Frisch, Zack Wheat, Max Carey, Sam Rice, Carl Hubbell, Casey Stengel. The NL beat the AL in 2 innings, 8-0. (New York Times, June 23, 1963, pp. 158.)

I've been looking for the full-sized version of this classic shot for some time now, so here it finally is. I'm pretty sure that at least Bill will enjoy seeing this one. Cheers! ~B
many in this photo are not writers. if you had the right connections you could buy a table and invite business associates or friends. i went to one in the 80's...

OK, even though the image source says it's from Shea, maybe it's not.
Looking at the dugout structure....seems pretty old (like the Polo Grounds).
Anyhoo...I still wish there was film/video of these events.
