Colombian League (LCBP) president, Edinson Renteria is trying to boost up poor attendance by inviting Cuba to an exhibition series between the Colombian Champions and the Cuban National team. Renteria will be in Bogotá tomorrow meeting with Ambassador Julio César Guillén.
Article in Spanish: http://teamrenteria.info/teamrenteri...d=408&Itemid=1
So, any further analysis on the teams and their matches as done before USA09? You did a good summary before.
It looks like China has the short end of the stick - only two warm-ups when other teams have 3 and China is unlikely to feature in the warm-ups for the Asia pool winner and runner-up. Taiwan has 11 warm-ups! But none against Australia itself, pity. Would have been nice to see a series between Taiwan and Australia.
Also seems like Cuba won't be having much in the way of warm-ups.
I thought the Colombian league was doing better. Colombia has a long baseball history, but has produced very little in terms of MLB players. Better players will make the league stronger. Maybe a MLB will put an academy in Colombia like the Rays just did in Brazil. Colombia is now probably safer than Venezuela and MLB teams are leaving Venezuela.
Alright so here is where were at with all of the MLB exhibitions announced:
ALL TIMES CENTRAL
Australia
Australia has 3 games with MLB teams. They will also take on the Japan national team. Will they fit in a game or two with Taiwan?
2/24 Japan
2/25 Japan
3/4 Mariners - 8:05PM
3/5 Brewers - 2:05PM
3/6 White Sox - 2:05PM
Canada
Canada will play 3 games against MLB teams. Interestingly enough they are all against the same teams the United States will be playing before the WBC. Last time around Canada played the KIA Tigers, but I don't see anything happening along those lines this spring.
3/3 Blue Jays - 12:05PM
3/4 Phillies - 12:05PM
3/5 Yankees - 12:15PM
China
China only has two games scheduled with NPB teams. I don't see them scheduling any other games, but I guess it is possible.
2/27 Giants (NPB) - 8PM
2/28 Lions (NPB) - 8PM
Cuba
Still nothing official on the Cuba front. NewEnglandAmazins posted an article that noted the Columbian League is interested in having their champion host the Cuban squad in a series. Also, I haven't heard anything, but it's possible Cuba will play another series with Nicaragua.
Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic will play 3 games against MLB teams.
3/3 Marlins - 12:05PM
3/4 Orioles - 12:05PM
3/5 Cardinals - 1:05PM
Italy
Italy will play 3 games all against NL East opponents.
3/3 Nationals - 12:05PM
3/4 Marlins - 12:05PM
3/5 Mets - 12:10PM
Japan
Japan will play 2 games against NPB teams. I'm looking to see if they schedule a few more.
2/24 Australia
2/25 Australia
2/28 Lions (NPB) - 3AM
3/1 Giants (NPB) - 3AM
Korea
Like Japan, I'm expecting Korea to schedule another game or two.
3/1 Lions (NPB) - 8PM
3/3 Giants (NPB) - 3AM
Mexico
Mexico will camp out in Tucson as all 3 of their exhibitions against MLB teams will be played there.
3/4 Diamondbacks - 6:05PM
3/5 Rockies - 2:10PM
3/6 Diamondbacks - 2:05PM
Netherlands
Holland will play 3 games against MLB teams. They will also take on South Florida. I'll keep checking in with them to see if they add any additional games against college teams. Since they will be in the United States in February I think it's quite likely they will.
2/24 Bulls (NCAA) - 5PM
3/3 Pirates - 12:05PM
3/4 Reds - 5:05PM
3/5 Twins - 1:05PM
Panama
Panama has 3 exhibition games with MLB teams announced. Panama will be play all 3 teams against the same teams as Venezuela.
3/3 Braves - 12:05PM
3/4 Tigers - 12:05PM
3/5 Astros - 12:05PM
Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico will play 3 exhibition games against Grapefruit League teams. All 3 teams should provide solid competition.
3/3 Twins - 12:05PM
3/4 Rays - 6:05PM
3/5 Red Sox - 11:05PM
South Africa
South Africa will interestingly only play 2 exhibitions with MLB teams.
3/4 Angels - 2:05PM
3/5 Athletics - 2:05PM
Taiwan
Taiwan will be playing an incredible amount of exhibition games. Most of them will come against Australian club teams. I wouldn't be surprised if they schedule some more with either Australia or some Taiwan club teams.
2/10 Heat (Australia)
2/11 Heat (Australia)
2/12 Heat (Australia)
2/13 Heat (Australia)
2/14 Heat (Australia)
2/16 Aces (Australia)
2/17 Aces (Australia)
2/18 Aces (Australia)
2/19 Aces (Australia)
3/2 Giants (NPB) - 3AM
3/2 Lions (NPB) - 8PM
United States
The US will be playing 3 exhibitions against Grapefruit League teams. As mentioned before, they will be playing the same teams as Canada.
3/3 Yankees - 12:15PM
3/4 Blue Jays - 12:05PM
3/5 Phillies - 11:05PM
Venezuela
Venezeula will also be playing 3 exhibitions against Grapefruit League teams.
3/3 Tigers - 12:05PM
3/4 Astros - 12:05PM
3/5 Braves - 1:05PM
Also, I've noticed that I messed up a lot of the game times in one of my prior posts. I'll do my best to edit as many as I can find. Let me know if you pick up on any others I miss.

Japan and Australia will play two in February.

http://www.wbctr.jp/preseason/ (in Japanese)
2/24 19:00 Japan vs. Australia
2/25 18:00 Japan vs. Australia
No more news?
The second game played between Mexico and the Diamondbacks will be played in Mexico.
http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/...=.jsp&c_id=ari
Well the series stop Feb 8, Feb 9 manager annouced few days later go to Puebla (Mexico) to training and play in the altitude the city is 6561.66 ft over the level of sea almost like Mexico DF where the tournament is, watch out on this point the training and playing in the altitude to play after at level of sea you can find something here
The Netherlands will also play against:
21-02 vs Eckerd College (St. Petersburg) 18.00/19.00
22-02 vs Korean pro-team (Bradenton) 13.30
24-02 vs South Florida University (Tampa) 18.00
So for the Netherlands, now it is:
Netherlands
2/21 Eckerd College (St. Petersburg) - 6PM?
2/22 Korean pro-team (Bradenton) -12:30PM?
2/24 Bulls (NCAA) - 5PM
3/3 Pirates - 12:05PM
3/4 Reds - 5:05PM
3/5 Twins - 1:05PM
I was converting it to Central Time as in USA09's post - I took the cue from the fact that this is what he had:
3/5 Twins - 1:05PM
and this is what Roger had:
Since Roger had the Bulls game as being at 6PM and USA09 had it at 5PM Central time, then the other times Roger gave must have been Eastern time as well. The Netherlands will also play against:
21-02 vs Eckerd College (St. Petersburg) 18.00/19.00
22-02 vs Korean pro-team (Bradenton) 13.30
24-02 vs South Florida University (Tampa) 18.00
