--each fell to a single voter (out of 13 this year)
--Norm Cash made a strong debut and Maury Wills made a solid gain this year. We've never had a campaign build steam here - all our inductees are first ballot - so those are guys to watch. Al Kaline is the first write in to force his way onto the next ballot.

1976 Voting
--Harmon Killebrew was a unanimous selection (13 of 13 eligible voters) and is our only inductee this year.

Bob Gibson 33%
Dick McAuliffe 25%
-------------------------
Rico Petrocelli received no votes and fall off the ballot
--Hank Aaron and Frank Robinson were unanimous selections. Williams missed only only one ballot and Oliva squeaked in on his first try, making this our largest and most distinguished class to date. Bill Freehan debuted at an improessive 67%, while Marichal made an impressive 2nd year jump to the same level. The new debuts on this class really put a dent in the support of Kaline, Wills and Cash who all saw their support drop noticibly. Bob Gibson and Dick McAuliffe drew enough support to try again next year

--No likley Hall of Famer from the retirement class of 1979. The best of the lot would appear to be real life Hall of Famers Lou Brock and Catfish Hunter, Willie Davis, Andy Messersmith and George Scott. None earned ballot spots by making the 1960s All Decade team. Its possible one or more will make the 1970s team when we vote on that prior to putting out the Hall of Fame ballot.
--More likley this will be Maury Wills best shot to get over the hump. Is he still the best CKL SS 19 years into the project and is that enough? Dick McAuliffe, Jimmy Wynn and Norm Cash also return to the ballot hoping to see an uptick in their support .

--Went back and assigned caps. Not surprisingly the Hard Cider and Knights lead with 3. The Legends have two and are almost certainly going to add a 3rd this year. The Skipjacks have 2 as well and somewhat surprisingly the Diablos have two - despite being a defunct (changed to Spikes and now Boys) team that never made the playoffs. Mantle was surprisingly nomadic playing for 6 teams in 8 years (and belonging to a 7th - he was the Skipjacks 2nd pick in the startup draft but was traded before playing a game for them). His longest stint was 3 years with the Cannons so that defunct (now Angels) team also has a cap.
