That would be cool, in 2006 a friend of mine and I were planning to go up there, the day Red Sox single game tickets went on sale to buy the tickets, we couldn't get through, the dreaded virtual waiting room, and by the time either of us got in they were sold out and we didn't want to pay an outrageous price on stubhub or ebay for those games so we passed but this year we're going no matter what, since neither of us have been in Fenway, I would love to go to Wrigley next August too but we'll see. Still a year away.

There's a surprise, except this time I'll see it up close. God I have no confidence in this bunch of bums, again.

Harder for me to remember since there's more games for the Mets but my Jets memories of the last 10 years pretty much include

Jets blowing a 10-0 lead in the AFC Championship @ Denver, in which they get the Falcons in the Super Bowl who they already beat earlier that year like 30-3.
Vinny tearing his ACL opening day 1999, after priming for a Super Bowl run all offseason.
Doug Brien missing two FGs at Pittsburgh in the AFC Divisional round, and I was in Pittsburgh that day for that game, not at the stadium but in Pittsburgh, but that's too good to happen for them to win.
Jets blowing a 6-1 start to finish 9-7 and miss the playoffs, during Al Groh's year.
Losing twice to the Raiders in the playoffs in Oakland back to back years.
Dan Marino fake spike game which was in the midst of a collapse during the Pete Carroll year.
And whoever got forget the Rich Kotite era, god almighty what a disaster, they won what 4 games in 2 years.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZxNeFLuY98 - Probably the prime example of being a Jets fan

I can go on and on with this

    So can I...

Simms having the greatest SB of any QB ever basically...
Mark Ingram fighting off like 20 tackles on a 3rd and forever in SB25...
    Norwood missing the FG....
Winning 9 consecutive road games en route to beating an 18-0 team in the greatest SB ever...

Oh wait...Im a Giants fan, thats right. They actually win....

Too bad football sucks and I couldnt care less at this point in my life....

The Jets in those plays would be

1982 - Richard Todd goes 15-42 in AFC title game in Miami - wasn't even alive for that but that compares to Simms.
    Norwood makes the FG
Jets win 9 straight road playoff games only to get blown out in the Super Bowl to an 8-8 team from the NFC West, who caught every break in the book to win 3 straight NFC playoff games.

HAHA! We've all signed up to be this person you have just described. It is in our blood- we can't help it. There are very few of us who "get it" ...those who don't, NEVER will.

My worst football memory was being in Foxboro the day Don Hasselbeck intentionally blew out Joe Klecko's knee with a "block" to the back of his leg.

Klecko eventually came back to be a pretty good player (first guy to ever make the probowl at three different defensive line positions)....but he probably would have been a HOFer if it wasn't for that play.

Anyone who's ever seen "North Dallas Forty"....the Klecko play was exactly like Jo Bob and OW taking out Weeks because he had been kicking the crap out of them all game long.
