I'm probably selling 2 of my 4 seats.
Very bummed about this weekend's forecast. Was taking the family two weeks ago but that one got rained out and had been planning on this fri night.
My daughter's gonna real disappointed if she doesn't get to Shea again.
On top of that I got myself a pair of baseline box seats for Sat's game. Figured I'd do Shea in style one last time. Now that's looking like a washout too. Dammit.
I forget, did you sell Sunday last game tickets? I don't care if they play another "last" game on Monday. The ceremonies will be on Sunday and a) hopefully we lock up a spot by then, and b) I UNFORTUNATELY cannot attend ANY game on Monday...so they better not need a 1-game play-in that day either.
Holy smokes. I was blaming myself ! I bought tickets for the 9/12 game to take my dad. RAIN. So I bought 9/26 tickets and it looks like RAIN. I wonder, just wonder if somehow I can get tickets for one of these rain days (presuming Friday's forecast) for MONDAY in the daytime. Either a makeup vs the Cubs, or a one game playoff vs the Brewers.
Think the Mets would cash a raincheck for Monday ????
I check Weather Underground (not the terrorist group...) Forecasts are pretty ominous...
Saw someone post this on Metsblog and it's VERY interesting...
Imagine going on Sunday to 'The Final Game at Shea' and going throrough all the ceremony and the Mets taking down the number to reveal the number of games left '2'... LOL
Very real possibility...
Are you suprized?...I mean...are you?
I KNEW 6 months ago the weather would suck for the final weekend, and that it would be gorgeous for the All Star Game/Final game at Yankee Stadium....its just the way it works...
Anyone else think that God took year long naps in 1969 and 1986? Its honestly the only explaination I can come up with....
Anyone have any idea what happens if the Mets, Phils and Brewers are all tied at the end of the regular season?
