yea, great game from schafer. i wonder how long it will be before he's at the top of the lineup. decent game from frenchy too, although i hope that long ball doesn't have him swinging for the fences now!

Its only one game, but what a nice start to the season Lowe pitched better than expected, we saw McCann tee off to the upper deck, Frenchie went yard, and Schafer jacked one in his first big league AB. I was a bit nervous in the 9th, but the team made it through.

I was thinking the same thing with Francoeur after his first pitch HR. Thats good and all, but I don't want to see him start waling away at junk balls.

Lowe did pitch awesome so glad we got him instead of injury prone AJ Burnett. I don't think we really need to stress about Frenchie I think he's going to be just fine he has his smooth swing back and he looks like he's gunna have a break out season. I'm excited to see Schafer as our CF I was praying he would be and also he needs to be leading off asap and have kelly move into the 8th or 7th spot..Lets go Braves!!! 2009 World Champs baby!!

          1. schafer(L)
          2. escobar(R)
          3. jones(S)
          4. mccann(L)
          5. anderson(L)
          6. frenchy(R)
          7. KJ(L)
          8. kotchman(L)
          9. pitcher

Despite only having two righties that's not a terribly unbalanced lineup and diaz could always been used late in games for anderson (maybe?)

thas a perfect rotation I would have to maybe switch frenchie and anderson though. that 6th hole is usually a clutch situation and I'd rather have anderson than frenchie.

i don't know if mccann would get as much protection with frenchy behind him vs. anderson. Unless francoeur really is "back".

I prefer GA behind McCann in the lineup. Anderson will atleast hit the ball in play most of the time. If Francoeur improves and keeps hitting well then he may hit behind McCann at some point.

A good showing by the bullpen tonight, even if the wind helped our pitching.

You could say the wind hurt the Phillies pitching. ;P

i kinda thought O'flagherty deserved a star. Even though it's only one game he looked pretty good last night. Getting the masher Stairs out and then going through the heart of the phils lineup. I might be eating my words on needed ohman (again only one game though).:ooo:

I was hoping this game was televised. We lost our Braves radio affiliate as well so I'm stuck reading Gamecast results.
