    Well I would guess it is much more that the Braves just haven't developed great speed guys in recent years, I mean Schafer has 20 SB potential but it is hard to run him in front of the pitching spot. Guys like Yunel, Kelly and Frenchy just aren't speed guys but they do other things well so they never really asked them to run very often. I would say the reason there isn't much speed out there has more to do with the guys skill sets that made the big leagues not that Bobby isn't running them.

    Myrtle Beach got PPD so Rome is the last game of the night.

    Rome Braves

    Rome 9 :: Asheville 7

    All offense tonight, I thought R. Delgado was gonna pitch but they went with Hoover instead.

    Luis Sumoza :: 2 for 4 :: 2 R :: 1 2B :: 1 BB

    Sumoza is still not showing much power but he is still young so I am not overly concerned.

    Gerardo Rodriguez :: 2 for 4 :: 2 R :: 1 3B :: 1 HR :: 5 RBI :: 1 BB

    Gerardo is slowly looking like a Dominican Cody Johnson right now.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 3 :: Buffalo 4

    Nothing major of note with Gwinnett tonight, perhaps the only interesting thing is Tony Armas pitched for Gwinnett.

    Boxscore

    Mississippi Braves

    Mississippi 3 :: Jacksonville 2

    The Braves get enough of offense and pitching to win the game.

    Gorkys Hernandez :: 2 for 4 :: 2 R :: 2 2B

    Gorkys shows the gap power that I have been hoping and hopefully he continues.

    Eric Campbell :: 2 for 4 :: 1 2B

    Campbell has a nice night but still needs to show some more improvement.

    Boxscore

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Game 1

    Myrtle Beach 0 :: Frederick 1

    The Pelicans only get two hits but Osuna only gives up 1 hit and 1 walk which lost him the game.

    Freddie Freeman :: 2 for 2 :: 1 BB

    Freeman was the only guy to get a hit tonight and was the only one to draw a walk.

    Edgar Osuna :: L (2 - 3) :: 6 IP :: 1 H :: 1 R :: 1 ER :: 1 BB :: 8 K

    I don't know much about Osuna's stuff but from his stats he does show potential, he doesn't get groundballs but limits the HR allowed and he also appears to have good command keeping his walk total low while his K rate has been high.

    Boxscore

    Game 2

    Myrtle Beach 4 :: Frederick 5

    Myrtle Beach tried to comeback but the big guns of Heyward and Freeman fell silent in this game. Jeff Locke also has his 2nd straight shaky outting.

    Cody Johnson :: 1 for 3 :: 1 R :: 1 HR :: 1 RBI

    Cody hits his 12th HR, he continues to just destroy the ball.

    Boxscore

    Rome Braves

    Rome 3 :: Asheville 5

    Jacob Thompson can't get the job done tonight.

    Gerardo Rodriguez :: 1 for 4 :: 1 R :: 1 HR :: 2 RBI :: 2 SO

    Gerardo seems to really be turning into a Dominican Cody Johnson as I mentioned last post.

    Luis Sumoza :: 1 for 4 :: 1 R :: 1 2B :: 1 BB :: 1 SO

    Nothing amazing tonight from Sumoza but had a solid night, someone else to checkout is Shehan.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 9 :: Buffalo 1

    The Atlanta Braves aren't the only ones to beat a Mets team today, the Braves may also be looking at their next 5th starter in Charlie Morton.

    Barbaro Canizares :: 3 for 4 :: 1 R :: 1 2B :: 1 HR :: 6 RBI

    Barbaro isn't much of a prospect at 29 but it is hard to argue with the results.

    Charlie Morton :: W (4 - 2) :: 7 IP :: 3 H :: 1 R :: 1 ER :: 3 BB :: 2 K

    Morton isn't dominating like he did in the past but he is just looking like a solid pitcher, add the fact that he and Jo-Jo both pitched on the same day could allow the Braves to switch the two without much of a problem.

    Boxscore

    Mississippi Braves

    Mississippi 1 :: Jacksonville 4

    Gorkys Hernandez :: 1 for 4 :: 1 R :: 1 BB :: 1 SB

    Gorkys gets his 8th SB and scores the only run of the night for Mississippi, I have to believe Gorkys is making his value go up either as a possible option in the OF for the Braves or in a trade.

    Kevin Gunderson :: 1 IP :: 0 H :: 0 R :: 0 ER :: 0 BB :: 1 K

    Gunderson's stats are interesting, his advance stats show his production is partly due to luck and his GO/FO is extremely lower then it was in the previous seasons. Hopefully Gunderson can keep it up and perhaps be a nice addition to the Braves bullpen in the future.

    Boxscore

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 2 :: Frederick 0

    Myrtle Beach gets the win tonight and the top position prospect for Atlanta had a night.

    Jason Heyward :: 3 for 3 :: 1 R :: 1 2B :: 1 HR :: 1 RBI :: 1 BB

    Heyward doesn't have a great BA but he isn't striking out to much so I doubt it will stay low for to long.

    Erik Cordier :: 4 IP :: 3 H :: 0 R :: 0 ER :: 2 BB :: 5K

    Cordier continues his long comeback from surgery, he is walking to many people for me to get really excited but he had a fine night.

    Boxscore

    Rome Braves

    Rome 7 :: Asheville 5

    Asheville really shot themselves in the foot with Errors as they committed 4 which led to 4 of Rome's runs, Brett DeVall also pitched tonight and had a shaky game.

    Braeden Schlehuber :: 2 for 4 :: 2 R

    Had his first good night in a while and helped the team score twice, I had some high hopes for him and really hope he starts to rebound.

    Yes, he has made 2 starts, 1 in Mississippi and 1 in Gwinnett. I guess they signed him after the Mets released him.

    Gwinnett got PPD.

    Mississippi Braves

    Mississippi 2 :: Jacksonville 6

    The Scott Diamond I was hoping to see early on appears to have finally shown up but he was didn't get the win because of the bullpen.

    Scott Diamond :: 7 IP :: 6 H :: 1 R :: 1 ER :: 0 BB :: 6 K

    Diamond's strikeout rates don't matter for me right now but his improved control (0 Walks) in the last two starts are something that I am encouraged by.

    Boxscore

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 6 :: Frederick 7

    Sullivan struggled again but the offense tried to pick him up.

    Jason Heyward :: 1 for 2 :: 1 R :: 1 HR :: 1 RBI :: 3 BB :: 1 SO

    Hard not to like what you are seeing from Heyward so far this year, his BA is down a little but the fact he isn't striking out and walking at a nice clip doesn't make me worry, add the nice power so far and he is having a fine season.

    Freddie Freeman :: 2 for 5 :: 1 2B

    Heyward is outshining Freeman so far but seeing as from everything I have read is that Heyward likely is a little bit ahead of Freeman in hitting overall it isn't a shock.

    Boxscore

    Rome Braves

    Rome 3 :: Asheville 2

    All about pitching tonight, Spruill continues to impress and Kimbrel continues remaking his image.

    Ezekiel Spruill :: W (6 - 0) :: 8 IP :: 7 H :: 2 R :: 2 ER :: 0 BB :: 5 K :: 1 HR

    What is there to say about Spruill he continues to impress down in Rome, a big tall local kid from Marietta that gets strikeouts at a nice clip but makes the majority of the hitters he face pound the ball into the ground. Many thought R. Delgado would be the guy to emerge as the next top pitching prospect but it is hard to argue that Spruill isn't the guy who actually is.

    I honestly couldn't tell you, I really didn't start following the minors till 4 or 5 years ago. I would say that looking at the 90s teams they helped develop a decent amount of talent, Chipper, Justice, Glavine and Jermaine Dye come to mind.

    Well it was a good night for every Braves' team expect the Major League one.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 4 :: Lehigh Valley 1

    The Tommy Hanson story continues and goes well. Gwinnett also finally got him something called run support which is a shocker since he is Gwinnett's Johan Santana. Kris Medlen also got some work to keep his arm warm but gave up a run to end his scoreless innings streak but his outting was cut short by rain.

    Tommy Hanson :: W (2 - 3) :: 7 IP :: 2 H :: 0 R :: 0 ER :: 1 BB :: 7 K :: 1 HBP

    What more is there to say about Mr. Hanson, he continues to dominate Triple-A and prove he likely has little to learn there.

    Boxscore

    Mississippi Braves

    Mississippi 12 :: Montgomery 1

    Jorge Campillo makes his first rehab start tonight and has a nice night. Gorkys also had a nice night tonight which help spark the offense, Willie Cabrera and Boscan also had very nice nights.

    Gorkys Hernandez :: 3 for 5 :: 3 R :: 1 2B :: 2 RBI :: 1 BB :: 1 CS

    Gorkys has a nice night and continues to keep his BA high, I would like to see more walks and a little more power but for now he is doing very well.

    Concepcion Rodriguez :: 3 for 5 :: 2 R :: 1 HR :: 2 RBI :: 1 SO

    Concepcion gets his first HR of the year, I was expecting a little more power from him coming into the year but he hasn't and needs some work.

    Boxscore

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 6 :: Potomac 2

    The Carolina League needs to beware as it appears Mr. Heyward is starting to find his swing.

    Jason Heyward :: 2 for 4 :: 2 R :: 1 HR :: 2 RBI

    Boxscore

    Rome Braves

    Rome 4 :: Greenville 0

    Rome got enough offense with Sumoza and Shehan helping out and J.J. Hoover shut Greenville down.

    J.J. Hoover :: W (2 - 1) :: 8.1 IP :: 7 H :: 0 R :: 0 ER :: 1 BB :: 5 K

    Hoover started in Myrtle Beach but struggled in his 1 game but has recovered nicely in Rome, he is still giving up to many HRs in Rome which is odd since he is more of a groundball pitcher.

    Well the rain didn't just PPD the Atlanta Braves but Rome, Mississippi and Myrtle Beach.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 3 :: Lehigh Valley 2

    Gwinnett beats one of the Phillies' better pitching prospects in Carlos Carrasco, another note from todays game is Tony Armas pitched in his second game. For anyone that wants Schafer to be sent down here is what his likely replacement has been doing, Mr. Blanco has 30 Hits so far this year which gives a nice ying to his 30 strikeouts yang, if you think Schafer's .331 SLG% is bad Blanco has him beat with a .271 SLG%.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 4 :: Lehigh Valley 3

    A solid night for Charlie overall after a shaky 3rd.

    Charlie Morton :: W (5 - 2) :: 7.2 IP :: 8 H :: 3 R :: 3 ER :: 3 BB :: 7 K

    Solid is the only thing you can really say about Morton, he hasn't blown people out of the water but just has gone out and given his team a chance to win every night.

    Boxscore

    Mississippi Braves

    Game 1

    Mississippi 4 :: Montgomery 5

    Another nice night for Mr. Gorkys but not much else, the Braves tried to comeback but fell short.

    Gorkys Hernandez :: 3 for 4 :: 3 R :: 1 2B :: 1 SO

    Gorkys continues his good start but I do want to see him cutdown of the strikeouts a little.

    Boxscore

    Game 2

    Mississippi 4 :: Montgomery 5

    Not much from today, Hicks hit a 2-run HR but is still hitting .222 and striking out to much. A pointless semi-interesting note is the winning run was a HR by former Braves farmhand Jason Perry.

    Boxscore

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 4 :: Winston-Salem 1

    The top guys didn't do much but was picked up by the pitching and the bottom of the lineup.

    Jon Owings :: 2 for 3 :: 2 R :: 1 HR :: 1 RBI

    Owings has a nice night and helps pickup the slack for Myrtle Beach.

    Edgar Osuna :: W (3 - 3) :: 7 IP :: 3 H :: 1 R :: 1 ER :: 0 BB :: 4 K

    Osuna doesn't beat himself with walks but just appears to have games where the ball can't find a defender, though tonight he had it working.

    Boxscore

    Rome Braves

    Game 1

    Rome 4 :: Greenville 1

    Jacob Thompson had a solid start that was helped by his defense getting DPs and an Outfielder getting a runner at home.

    Braeden Schlehuber :: 3 for 3 :: 1 R :: 1 2B

    Schlehuber won't win any beauty pagents but he did his job today, he was one of the guys that people were looking to see his development but hasn't done much, so here is to him rebounding.

    Jacob Thompson :: W (2 - 3) :: 5 IP :: 5 H :: 1 R :: 1 ER :: 3 BB :: 4 K

    Thompson wasn't hurt by his walks but that was thanks to some DPs, he hasn't put up amazing stats but overall Thompson is having a nice season.

    Boxscore

    Game 2

    Rome 2 :: Greenville 1

    Some nice pitching from Brett DeVall and a nice night for a struggling outfielder.

    Chris Shehan :: 2 for 3 :: 2 R :: 1 2B

    Shehan has slowly been warming up, some felt he was going to be one of the better hitting prospects in the Braves system coming into the season but like Schlehuber has struggled.

    Brett DeVall :: W (2 - 1) :: 5 IP :: 3 H :: 1 R :: 0 ER :: 2 BB :: 6 K

    DeVall has another nice start, so far this season he only has had 1 bad start in out of his 4 and most of his stats are either in of shading in the right direction.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 1 :: Lehigh Valley 3

    Nothing of major interest from tonights game, Redmond had an okay night but couldn't get any help from the offense.

    Boxscore

    Mississippi Braves

    Mississippi 6 :: Montgomery 5

    Gorkys and Eric Campbell have nice nights which help the Braves pick up a win.

    Gorkys Hernandez :: 3 for 5 :: 1 R :: 2 RBI :: 2 SO :: 1 SB

    Gorkys is hitting a robust .349, I would really like to see him getting a little more walks but for now it is hard to complain.

    Eric Campbell :: 2 for 3 :: 1 2B :: 1 RBI :: 1 SF

    Campbell has struggled so in a big way in May. He still hasn't hit a HR this and his power just hasn't been there, hopefully he can figure it out because Campbell does have the potential to be a good player.

    Boxscore

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 3 :: Winston-Salem 5

    Freddie Freeman misses his 2nd straight game so it appears that he may be injured. Jeff Locke has a pretty bad night and was lucky to just give up 3 ER. (4 total) Cody Johnson had a nice night though so he gets a nod.

    Cody Johnson :: 2 for 4 :: 1 R :: 1 HR :: 2 RBI :: 2 SO

    Cody hits his 13th HR of the year but also collects his 54th and 55th strikeout.

    Boxscores are now linked through the score of the game.

    Mississippi Braves

    Mississippi 3 :: Montgomery 6

    The Braves lose because a bullpen collapse.

    Brandon Hicks :: 3 for 3 :: 2 R :: 1 2B :: 1 BB :: 2 SB

    Hicks has struggled this year offensively but the one thing he is doing impressively is stealing bases as he got his 7th and 8th and still hasn't been caught stealing yet.

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 3 :: Winston-Salem 6

    Erik Cordier has his first bad outting which wasn't helped by Errors made by him and Lundahl. Offensively Heyward had the best night but no one drove him in. Freddie Freeman also missed his 3rd straight game.

    Jason Heyward :: 3 for 4 :: 1 2B

    Heyward's BA is slowly starting to climb closer to the .300 mark, he also has shown nice power so far and is putting together a very nice BB to K rate.

    Rome Braves

    Rome 1 :: Asheville 6

    Spruill has his first bad game of the season, nothing to be down on since he was due for a game like this. Nothing else of major note.

    Short on time so Boxscores tonight.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett :: Toledo

    Tommy Hanson continues to dominate in Triple-A.

    Mississippi Braves

    Mississippi :: Mobile

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach :: Winston-Salem

    The Big Three dominate tonights game, Heyward, Cody (2 HRs) and the return of Freddie Freeman.

    Rome Braves

    Rome :: Asheville

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 7 :: Toledo 3

    Tony Armas continues his attempt to comeback tonight, he cruised through the first 3 innings but ran into problems in the 4th. Offensively no one person stood out but Gregor Blanco continues to struggle just to get his BA above .225.

    Mississippi Braves

    Mississippi 3 :: Mobile 0

    Not much to say tonight, Gorkys had a nice night and Matt Young continues to elevate his BA but nothing really major from this game.

    Gorkys Hernandez :: 1 for 3 :: 1 R :: 1 BB :: 1 SB

    Gorkys still has things to work on but he right now you can't argue with his production.

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 5 :: Wilmington 1

    Cole Rohrbough gets only his 4th start of the season and has an okay night but the offense helps pick him up.

    Jason Heyward :: 1 for 3 :: 2 R :: 1 HR :: 1 RBI :: 1 BB :: 1 SB

    Anyone who worried Heyward only hit 11 HRs last year I think you can relax now, Heyward now has 8 HRs this season perhaps the only negative is his 3Bs are down but I will take more HRs for less 3Bs.

    Cody Johnson :: 2 for 3 :: 1 R :: 1 HR :: 1 RBI :: 1 BB :: 1 SO

    How shocking Cody Johnson hits another HR which makes 16, I really wish he could do something else because that power is something you can easily fall in love with.

    Cole Rohrbough :: W (2 - 1) :: 5.2 IP :: 5 H :: 1 R :: 1 ER :: 3 BB :: 5 K

    Rohrbough likely didn't have good control but coming off an injury that is to be expected, hopefully he can continue to putting together good outtings because he could be a very nice addition to the rotation in the future.

    Rome Braves

    Rome 7 :: Asheville 6

    Hoover has a bad outting but Rome's offense finally decides to show up and bail Hoover out. A couple guys had nice nights but my new rule if you are in a slump I want to see a string of games before you make the list, unless it is a very good night. Kimbrel also continues his climb back as a top relief prospect with 6 strikeouts tonight.

    No lists tonight since no one did anything of any real note or aren't in my opinion good enough prospects.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 9 :: Toledo 3

    Tom Glavine goes 2 IP fine but then walks a batter and gives up a Triple, Home Run to end his rehab stint. I will root for him to succeed if he pitches in a Big League uniform but if I am being honest I hope he realizes he isn't the same guy and retire. The offense bailed him out though with big HRs from Sammons and Barton. The rain also helped this one end early.

    Mississippi Braves

    Mississippi 1 :: Mobile 4

    Mississippi faced one of the better young arms in baseball in Jarrod Parker tonight and were able to scratch a run out against him but Venters couldn't hold the lead. Campbell had a nice night but all of his hits were singles and he didn't score or drive in a run so no list.

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 5 :: Wilmington 6

    Myrtle Beach tries their hardest to make a late comeback but like so many times for Braves' minor league teams they come up just short. No list tonight though as the pitchers struggled and the big bats didn't do anything of note.

    Rome Braves

    Rome 1 :: Asheville 13

    Just an Ugly night from Jacob Thompson he walked to many, didn't strike anyone out and was hit hard. He did only have 4 ER because of 2 Errors but that isn't an excuse for being hit so hard and walking to many.

    Myrtle Beach decided that they were gonna be different and not have a day game so I will add their list in a post later. Mississippi got PPD so just two games in this post.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 4 :: Toledo 1

    Charlie gets the win and continues to just chug along.

    Charlie Morton :: W (6 - 2) :: 7 IP :: 4 H :: 1 R :: 1 ER :: 0 BB :: 4 K :: 1 HR

    Charlie has just been rolling recently and if he doesn't get the call I would expect him to be a possible piece in a trade.

    Rome Braves

    Rome 0 :: Greenville 1

    Brett DeVall deserved better but as has been covered in these posts Rome isn't gonna make any pitcher shake in their cleats.

    Brett DeVall :: L (2 - 2) :: 5 IP :: 6 H :: 1 R :: 1 ER :: 1 BB :: 2 K

    DeVall may never be a huge strikeout guy but he won't walk many and will make teams earn their runs.

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 4 :: Wilmington 5

    Locke was okay but didn't do anything special, the good news for him was Heyward and Freeman bailed him out but the bad news is they couldn't bailout the bullpen.

    Jason Heyward :: 1 for 4 :: 1 R :: 1 HR :: 1 RBI :: 1 SO

    Heyward gets his 9th HR of the year, this year he is showing why he should be considered one of the top 5 prospects in baseball.

    Freddie Freeman :: 2 for 4 :: 1 R :: 2 E

    Freeman hasn't been showing the power but I think it is only a matter of time until he really starts raking balls.

    Today Gwinnett decides they want to be different and not have a day game, although after looking at the results that may not have been the worse choice.

    Mississippi Braves

    Game 1

    Mississippi 0 :: Mobile 1

    Not much to say about this game, Mississippi only got 4 hits and the pitcher Heath was lucky to only give up 1 run with the amount of runners he allowed on.

    Game 2

    Mississippi 2 :: Mobile 6

    Not much for game 2, they got 2 HRs but did little offensively and didn't do a very good job pitching wise either.

    Rome Braves

    Rome 1 :: Greenville 5

    Spruill went deep into the game and gave up 4 R but the offense didn't do much. The Atlanta Braves may not have the best offense but good lord Rome's is horrible.

    Ezekiel Spruill :: L (6 - 2) :: 7.2 IP :: 12 H :: 4 R :: 3 ER :: 0 BB :: 6 K :: 1 HR

    Spruill may have gotten hit around but he didn't hurt himself by walking hitters which is something I like to see and he only gave up 2 XBH so it doesn't seem like he was getting hit hard.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 2 :: Indianapolis 5

    Another game and another lackluster night for Gwinnett.

    Rome gets PPD so just 3 games tonight.

    Gwinnett Braves

    Gwinnett 2 :: Indianapolis 1

    Poor Tommy the kid has only a .500 record and has given up a grand total of 10 ERs all year. Gwinnett did win in the bottom of the 10th though but in reality it is hard to care when Hanson pitches.

    Tommy Hanson :: 7 IP :: 5 H :: 1 R :: 1 ER :: 2 BB :: 9 K

    Just to recap, Tommy has pitched in 60.2 Innings, has struckout 82, walked 17, has allowed 10 ER and has only given up 35 Hits, all I can say is I hope Glavine either does great or flamesout quickly because the really Tommy is ready to take his rightful place.

    Mississippi Braves

    Mississippi 5 :: Birmingham 8

    Diamond gets hit around early and the Braves never recover. Gorkys continues to get singles but little else, I have seen people say Gorkys should be called up to replace Schafer but from looking at everything he is doing I doubt he would do much better then Schafer.

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 6 :: Winston-Salem 5

    Myrtle Beach got just enough pitching and Jason Heyward helped carry the offense.

    Jason Heyward :: 3 for 4 :: 1 R :: 1 2B :: 3 RBI :: Outfield Assist

    Jason is now upped his Average to .295, has a .373 OBP and an impressive .561 SLG%. I would never actually suggest doing this but I have a lot of faith that Heyward could come up right now and outproduce both Anderson and Francoeur.

    Mississippi, Myrtle Beach and Rome (Doubleheader) all start the day early.

    Mississippi Braves

    Misssissippi 3 :: Birmingham 2

    Mississippi makes a late comeback to grab the win.

    Travis Jones :: 1 for 4 :: 1 R :: 1 HR :: 1 RBI :: 1 SO :: 2 Errors

    Travis gets his 2nd HR of the year, last year he showed decent power for a middle infielder but hasn't done much power wise so far this year. Hopefully with the weather heating up his power will start showing up more.

    Eric Campbell :: 1 for 4 :: 1 R :: 1 HR :: 2 RBI :: 1 SO

    Campbell has been struggling with power and so far has had an unimpressive year just like T. Jones you hope he starts heating up along with the weather.

    Myrtle Beach Pelicans

    Myrtle Beach 6 :: Winston-Salem 0

    Heyward gets the day off but pretty much all of Myrtle had a nice day to pick up the slack and Sullivan has his best game of the year.

    Freddie Freeman :: 2 for 4 :: 1 R :: 1 2B

    Freddie isn't showing great power this year but is doing fine in pretty much every other aspect of the game.

    Richard Sullivan :: W (2 - 1) :: 9 IP :: 3 H :: 0 R :: 0 ER :: 2 BB :: 9 K

    Sullivan is a great groundball pitcher and if he can just improve his command he could be an interesting prospect going forward.

    Rome Braves

    Game 1

    Rome 3 :: Greenville 5

    Randall Delgado continues to struggle, the good news for him are that he is still getting strikeouts and groundballs. The biggest problem appears to be command but that should be expected with such a young player.

    Game 2

    Rome 4 :: Greenville 3

    Gerardo Rodriguez makes his big return to the list by hitting for the cycle with his HR coming on a walk-off.

    Gerardo Rodriguez :: 4 for 5 :: 1 R :: 1 2B :: 1 3B :: 1 HR :: 3 RBI :: 1 Error

    Gerardo still is striking out to much and not walking enough but he appears to be the only true threat on Rome's offense.
