Thread: Any recommendations for plastic practice balls?

  1. Any recommendations for plastic practice balls?

I want to purchase some of the plastic practice balls for pregame warm ups- NOT the small golf size ones. I have seen both the dimple type and the ones with holes in the ball.

I want something I can soft toss to batters in the outfield and have the hits go out to players for for shagging to keep them moving and having fun during pregame prior to teams taking the infield. Not sure if there are different weights or sizes but I noticed that it seemed like the dimple balls flew a little more true after they were hit compared with the hole type wiffle balls.

Any suggestions based on experience on type or manufacturer appreciated.

    pickle balls,,,,,,the best

  4. If plastic balls are what you want, then I will third the Pickle Balls. Most durable plastic balls out there. The other ball you may want to look at, but not plastic, are the Jugs Lite Flite balls.

  5. Never had a pickleball but these are very good: http://www.stee-rike3.com/

I bought these as well over the years,,they are more fun because they move BUT they are not near as durable as a pickle..a pickle "plays" more like a real ball as well
