    10,000 Win Club

The St. Louis Cardinals are three wins away from achieving the team 10,000 win.
They probably will get it against the Padres in San Diego.
The Cardinals join the Giants, Cubs and Dodgers as members of 10,000 win club.

Well, since the Cubs and Giants are on the list - 2 of the most unsuccesful franchise over the past 50 years, I'd say that winning 10,000 games is pretty worthless.

    That's pretty cool.

How many wins do the Yankees have? I would think that they are close

9566 wins, ranking 8th, although they are the clear leaders in W/L%, all the teams above them in wins have at least 17 years more history.

They also started anywhere from 10-30 years after these other teams.
