Baseball World Cup ticket prices
Hey All,
I am planning a few trips to the Baseball World Cup -- lack of rosters is making it hard at this time. I am amazed at the price of tickets and then understand why so few tickets have sold in some stadiums. How can they expect to sell 10,000 tickets at when they are selling tickets at £20.00 plus dollars in Germany up2 $58.00 at home plate? Round 1 only has one good game if that in each pool. Round 2 Holland are selling tickets at $15.00 which is better but still alot when they want to introduce the game to all.
I fully understand they have to cover costs but it does make me wish it was in Cuba where costs would be lower.
When you add in travel costs, Hotel costs $95.00 Euro a nite in Haarlem, Cuba would have been cheaper.

I too was surprised at the price of the tickets. Luckily I don't have to pay, being a scorer, and all, and all I can think of is that it is to cover the price. From some of the people I have talked to over here baseball is such a niche sport that those who are in to it over here will not have a problem paying that price. Those who aren't into wouldn't be coming anyway. I tried to make the argument that the point was to draw in those fringe people, but was told that those fringe people were not going to come even if it was free. I am not so sure.
But the rosters are up, and it is baseball, so make your plans and get out to some games
