    Baseballs/tennis balls for ground balls?

Hey guys. My friends and I are improvising about where to practice in the winter. We have a large gym at school, but since the basketball court was recently done and there are windows, we cannot hit ground balls with baseballs. Would it be beneficial to hit tennis balls to each other? Would other balls be better? Would working with tennis balls/others hurt our timing?

Also, what other ideas do you guys on things you can do inside a gym in the winter, like the one above? Like drills, practice, advice, etc.

Try Increda Balls They are the size of a baseball and are only slightly lighter.

  3. i think easton rubber training balls would work in a gym for groundballs. i currently use one to long toss in the playground when no one else is around. they have baseball weight and are the same size but they have a rubber exterior that shouldn't mark up the floor (like a rubber basketball). just don't hit any flyballs or liners - they will break windows.

  4. What about those soft baseballs used for T-ball? They're pretty close and shouldn't damage the floor.

    This is what you want:

Just make certain you purchase the cloth skinned ball and not the synthetic leather. They will mark up the floor.
