Hahaha, it's pretty hilarious though. Gotta give credit to locke40 for bumping up all the six-feet-under old thread haha!

I think the best solution for this site is to open an entirely new forum called The Greatest And Most Awesomely Wonderful At Everything to circle jer. . . , er discuss, how great and awesomely wonderful every yankee is and has been, how great and awesomely wonderful every yankee team is and has been, how great and awesomely wonderful yankee stadium was, how great and awesomely wonderful the yankee uniform is, how great and awesomely wonderful every person ever associated with the yankees is and was and how great and awesomely wonderful the world is because the yankees exist.

Color a coloring book with crayons that write in invisible ink. Let everyone imagine the colors that you used.

It would be swell if a moderator would perhaps comment on the suggestion.![]()
It is being discussed amongst ourselves.
RIP Tom Tresh. Detroiter. Chippewa. Yankee. Good man.
RIP George Kell. Batting Champ. Champ Broadcaster. HOFer. Good man.
RIP Mark Fidrych. The first player I actively followed.
Pigskin Fever, though, lives. http://www.pigskin-fever.com/ Come help make it as good as its sister site.
With the latest bout of unmoderated garbage spewing from the Yankees fans on the board, any progress on discussions?

Tell me about it. Been there, done that.
All hail the golden ring of the Yankkes Stadium and the Citi Field.

And all hail the dozens of threads for other venues that don't exist because the horrible, ape-like New Yorkers scare other members away from creating threads that they may or may not actually frequent.![]()
Seriously, nearly every thread that was posted today was done sarcastically (and boy were they a hindrance to get to the three or so non-NY threads people actually go to). Lets see...two beloved stadiums have recently been demolished (one arguably the most important stadium in American sports), two new stadiums that have been met with much excitement and criticism, and four past stadiums that have an equally large following (one of which had two completely different versions).
Yes, obviously some people post threads that can easily be put in an existing thread (and most soon vanish from the front page). How many "jeter got another award he doesn't deserve", "yankees spent money they made themselves and should be ashamed because of it", "New Yorkers are meanies", and "Yankees/Mets suck!" threads do we have to wade through, and be provoked in (where we are then branded as typical NYer trolls)? I thought this forum was for fans to discuss basebal related topics that they find interesting or want to know more about. Not, to be told that they are not allowed to discuss something because it's not "fair" that fans from other teams aren't even interested in starting (or maintaining) threads for their own ballparks. I would love to see the traffic this forum would get if there wasn't a single New York topic or member.
..."I might have been given a bad break, but I've got an awful lot to live for."
I think we are starting down a slippery slope with all these Yankee Stadium threads. I personally don't care, because I am a Yankee fan and I enjoy reading and discussing the Yankees. However, if anyone remembers a few months back when everyone was up-in-arms over the whole "EDIT TAGS" debacle. The only solution was to take away the members rights to editing tags; I fear, the only solution to the Yankee Stadium thread problems will be to take away our rights (or maybe just newbie members' rights) to starting new threads. I post on a lot of other message boards on the internet (mostly architectural-centric sites) and baseball-fever is FAR and AWAY the most lenient when it comes to new registration and new member rights. The other sites I post on would be appalled that we were EVER allowed to edit tags.
Personally, I like the freedom we are given on this site, and don't want it to change. But, I also HATE that everyone (mostly non-Yankee fans) is complaining and whining like their sister just stole their boyfriend, or something (I don't know). I'm just glad I'm not a moderator, so I won't have to be making these decisions, and potentially driving members away.
Why do people make such a big deal about all of the Yankee Stadium threads here?I post on a few different message boards, and I have no interest in about 90% of the threads, so I simply don't read them. This message board has very few messages compared to some, so it's not that difficult to ignore threads that you don't want to read. If you want to read or post about Dodger Stadium (or whatever), why do you let the Yankee Stadium threads stop you?
