just out of curiosity (for those of you who have toured fenway), did you have to call in advance to get the tour? did you have a membership that included the tour? any other pre-tour steps you had to take to GET the tour? the reason I ask is because in 2008 I had the second tier "red sox nation" membership, I got to the ballpark like 4 or 5 hours early to I could take the tour, get some souvenirs, eat, and then get inside early for the game. however, when I asked one of the gate workers how to get in for the tour he told me the tours were "sold out". the membership I had guaranteed me a tour at some point in 2008 but didn't guarantee the availability of the tours. I went to 2 games in 2008 and that particular day was the last game I went to and I never got the chance to get back to boston to take the tour. did anyone ever run into a similar issue before? if so what measures did you take to get the tour? thanks!

No, just show up at the store across from the main entrance on Yawkey Way.
nope.did you have a membership that included the tour?
Just call to make sure they're being run on that day, I guess? Should be every hour.any other pre-tour steps you had to take to GET the tour?
Just showed up a day in december. Game days could be really busy, that may be your problem. See if it's all year, or all season, and take one now.the reason I ask is because in 2008 I had the second tier "red sox nation" membership, I got to the ballpark like 4 or 5 hours early to I could take the tour, get some souvenirs, eat, and then get inside early for the game. however, when I asked one of the gate workers how to get in for the tour he told me the tours were "sold out". the membership I had guaranteed me a tour at some point in 2008 but didn't guarantee the availability of the tours. ive only toured RYS and it was a great tour in terms of things and places you got to go as well as the tour guide. as for the rules and time limit in the places you had, that was the part that sucked. i took that tour twice, the first time i was younger and couldnt really appreciate it. i took it again after the season ended last year and i took mental images that i will never forget. i just wish i got to see some other stuff.
i want to take the tour of the new place but im kinda waiting to see if they keep adding more stuff or what not. i want to see the clubhouse for sure but ive done monument park before and i know thats a big part of it.
as for tours i want to do, id like to hit fenway and wrigley for sure.
How's the tour in Toronto? Do they offer a tour in January?

I haven't toured the new Yankee Stadium, but my understanding from reading accounts of others who have is that you don't see anything you can't already see by going to a game yourself - no press box, no clubhouse, no dugout. The only reason I'd see for someone to take a tour at the present time, under the current circumstances, is if someone just has to see Yankee Stadium now, during the off-season. Otherwise, wait until you can get to an actual game or until the Yankees expand the scope of the tour.

The Safeco tour was very good. You go on the field, in the dugout, the players clubhouse, the press box, the owners box, the private club/restaurant behind the dugout, around the park and down thru the front entrance with the sculpture of the 1,000 bats.
Looks like the current Yankee tour, has expanded the itinerary.

Haha, no kidding dude?
I just might end up checking it out anyway because I'm doing a little tour of Ontario in January, and I don't think I'll be back in Toronto for baseball season.
I know I'll end up "getting lost" in the SkyDome and checking the place out for myself.![]()
