    Colored Capital All-Americans

    Anyone know much about this club?

    years of operation, city represented

    Confusion here:

    James A. Riley has this team representing Lansing, Michigan in 1891. But he lists eastern players with the team. I've also seen 1903.

    Baseballlibrary.com has the "Capital Colored All-Americans":

    The Capital Colored All-Americans set sail for England with a team of players from Western League clubs.
    -- in August 1895

    I have a newspaper reference to George Stovey playing with "Colored All-Americans" in August 1889. Stovey was anchored in the east though.

    1894 as well. Deep confusion. Somebody should research this team.
