Here's a followup to my last quiz. It's supposed to be a degree harder, but it should also be fairly easy for the people on this board.

Which Players Won a World Series Championship? #2

My next one will probably be much harder than this one in terms of player recognizability, so stay tuned.

Which Players Won a World Series Championship? #3

Here's one that even the diehards here might have some trouble with.

How do I get to the main site where I can play more of these. I've played everyone here except for a few of the Met's trivia's. I gotta say they are all pretty good. I got the WS winners in 7:35 and I got most of the WS losers on my first try but I forgot the 1905 loser and 1910 through 1913 years so I skipped em to get the rest and I ran out of time when I tryed getting back to em.

There was one that really had me wondering on the all-star thirdbaseman or shorstops I cant remember which one. But Frank Malzone was an all-star like 5 times and I had no idea who was a allstar infielder for the Redsox in the early 60's. For a Boston player he's a pretty forgotten kind of guy. I've heard of him but never knew he made so many allstar teams.
"(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. I always thought he was more sinned against than sinning." -- Connie Mack

"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)

Thx Ian those allstar ones you made were pretty good. I missed alot of the one hit wonders but that Malzone was one who i'll never forget.

Thanks. If I hadn't made the quiz I probably would've missed him too. Third base was a weak position in the AL for a long time.

Yeah Jimmy Foxx was another tough one at thirdbase. I got Keltner right at the end. I think I scored a 72.

Can you name all of the Baseball-Reference stats listed on a player page? I made this game private because it may be something of interest for only hardcore enthusiasts. Tell me how many you get!

No, I can't take credit for that. The user "deej" is a great quizmaker, but he is not me.

    1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)
