It would be cool for someone to make Hoops-Fever.

Considering how stagnant Pigskin Fever unfortunately is, I doubt we'll see a third sport in the Fever family any time soon. That's a lot of time and effort (not to mention cost from essentially one person's pocket) being put forth for such low output.

I am surpise how Pigskin Fever is doing.I would think a football site like that would be busy since it's the most popular sport in the USA.

Unless it's fantasy, football discussion does not match the draw of the on-field product.

Exactly. Baseball is much more a numbers game, so it tends to attract a more diverse chatty crowd. Nearly every fan is an armchair manager. Not to mention, it's played every day during the season.

I'm not quite certain the results of that poll are altogether accurate. For example, many baseball people -- even those who enjoy both sports -- are too busy strategizing to answer a "what's more popular" poll. If it weren't for that -- and the fact that the question itself was asked on a baseball-based site, thus many folks didn't even bother voting on it -- I'd be more surprised baseball didn't receive a better showing on such a busy baseball board.

    Jmho.
    Put it in the books.

As can probably be surmised by some of the things said right here in this thread, you're not the only one who feels this way.

Of course, one never knows what the future holds.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that there likely isn't a similar site for ANY sport out there.

Agreed. I was going to say that the passion in soccer (worldwide) might lead to a site as good as BF, but the more I think about that ... it seems like it would turn into another CAPS "your favorite player sucks" fest.

Wow, sorry I didn't reply sooner.

I think Soccer, more than any other sport, is about hooliganism. I believe that is part of the fun. Of course you can have an educated discussion about Soccer history, etc, but compared to other sports, it just doesn't seem as easily done. That's part of the reason I love soccer ... we can let go of all our baseball stuffiness (thought that's probably not the right word), and just go completely crazy.
