okay, so to help with the discussion thing, I thought maybe we could start a gameday thread. I know they do it over at bravesnation. Now i don't think we need a separate one for each game, maybe per series or something. Just thought that way we could all get on and vent about our frustrations (heyward hitting behind diaz AND glaus today) and joys of each game (heyward being amazing). thoughts?

looks like nate might actually be putting it together... way to go nate! could nate AND glaus (one hit in five of his last 7 games started) be joining the braves offense! yahoo!
edit: what the hell is up with braves getting picked off 2ND BASE!!!!!???? THIRD time this year. ugh.

The McLouth for Morton deals appears to be a bust for both teams.

I don't know what it was tonight but this team was lifeless and lost to a bad pitcher, Nationals fans can disagree but this is the game that the Braves should win. They better win this series because if not then I have some serious doubts about this team because that was just terrible.

"Lifeless" is exactly right. Maybe Nate was really popular and they're all down or something, but they need to get it together. They've lost 3 of the last 4 to a bunch of ragamuffins who shouldn't be on the same field with them. This trip can't end soon enough.

Braves Fan For Life
I couldn't help but think that they were all geared up for Strasburg and here comes Batista and it's so jarring that they just lose it.
I turned it off after 2 1/2 innings. I turned off the sound in anticipation of it being a Strasburg love fest, but then I kept it down because Nyjer Morgan came to the plate. I know how much the Braves announcers love to talk about him. Sure enough, he gets on base and steals two bases and scores on the error. I can only imagine what they must have said.
I did feel like I heard what they said, because after the two-run single by Desmond and the top of the third, I had to turn the game off. For some reason, I just couldn't take it.
