Actually, no. The stadium is just to the north of the flight path and due to the dry desert air you seldom hear engine noise inside the park. Most flights are required to bank to the south for noise abatement over the city.
Flights usually take off and land heading west due to the prevailing west winds, but you don't have anywhere the racket at Shea/Citi.

Most of those Fenways appear to be taken from atop either Prudie or Hancock - My film photo is an album in my parents' attic. It was taken nearly 20 years ago.

I know somewhere on this Earth exists at least one photo of both Shea and RYS! Somewhere. Probably a good low or distant angle that allowed for both parks to be foreshortened via telephoto lens out a passenger window.
Perhaps a similar setup of NYS and Citi will be snapped from a plane one day and make it on this board.

WOW. That is easily the best photo in this thread - the most beautiful, and also the most depressing. Ugh. WHY are ballparks everywhere being torn down?! Don't people have any sense of history? Today I heard that that old ballpark in Omaha used for the College World Series, one of the oldest ballparks still around that's so steeped in history, is being needlessly torn down for some other "state of the art," probably HOK - no, I'm sorry, "Populous" - facility, probably with a quirky outfield and such fantastic, roofless sightlines that will blow your mind! Polo Grounds are in the top left, Yankee Stadium bottom right, Macombs Dam Bridge near Yankee Stadium over East River, old subway extension bridge over East River near Polo Grounds
