I've decided to go with the semi-consensus and pick Dale Murphy.

Hard to pass up a catcher who can rake like he can. He's still pretty raw behind the plate, though.

The Nevermind above is probably caused by a change in ownership of the Diablos. Welcome to Bill Sager, commissioner of another league that Lew is in and member of the PAP league with Lew and I before that league ended due to the declining health of its commissioner and former CKl owner Scott Carter. Bill's user name is Kardinal if you'd like to contact him for any deals with the Diablos. I'm also sending out a new DMB file to those who have the program. His e-mail will be in the address group for anyone who wants to contact him that way.

Yes it was partially caused by new ownership. Since I have all day tomorrow (right?) and new owner in the league I will repost:
Badgers are offering the #2 pick in 1976 Rookie Draft. Looking for a pick between #3 and #7 in exchange along with some sweeteners from trading partner. Since everyone else saw this, it is mostly addressed to Bill.

That's great news about Bill joining us. With another experienced hand like him on board this league is in better shape than ever.

Bill, welcome to the CKL! As Mark mentioned, I've faced Bill in Scott Carter's PAP leagues, and now participate with him as league commissioner in the Scott Carter Memorial League. Ed Bupp and Jason Lyke are both in that league with me as well, and we still have Joe Clark and Joe Terry on board over there. I think you'll find we have some good owners in this league and that it is a good league to belong to. Don't let the first off season put you off - once you get used to how everything works it's easy!

Bill will be an excellent addition to the CKL, IMHO. He's always been a top notch owner, fields a competitive team and in the SCML season just finished (1960) his Giants pounded the National League and then he beat the Yankees in the World Series. Good luck Bill and I'm glad you decided to join us.

    Welcome to the league Bill!

Going out for about 2 hours. If no offer for #2 when I get back I will make my pick. Then we can get this draft rolling.

I thought we had 24 hours from the tame of the previous pick

  24. #49
That doesn't mean you have to wait 24 hours.

Actually, this year is going pretty slowly. Usually, we'll get 3 or 4 picks the first couple of days and even more in the following days. I's quite surprised we've only gotten through three picks so far.
