2010 FSL and Sarasota

Since Cincinnati is heading to Arizona this spring, who will replace the Sarasota Reds in the Florida State League next year? And who will the Reds next Adv. A affiliate be for that matter?

What happened to the Sarasota franchise? Cincinnati doesn't own it, right?

According to this article the most likely scenario is the Sarasota franchise moving to Bradenton and becoming a Pirates affiliate while the Reds would take over the final year of Pittsburgh's PDC with the Lynchburg Hillcats.

Red likely to join the California League after the 2010 season. Looking into Modesto, Inland Empire, Visalia, Bakerfield and High Desert.

Ah. Baseball America says the Reds do own Sarasota, and are selling it to the Pirates. In the Pirates organization, the franchise will play at their spring training complex.

So the only question remaining is what happens to Lynchburg after the 2010 season is over.
