It's just occurred to me that the winners of the runoff this time around will not get a shot on the main ballot.
Would a mini-election of the run-off winners only make sense? It could be that one or two of them will sail in. |

I will also add my thanks to all the BBFers who made this a successful project.

Bytheway if this project were to continue forever, how would the members of the HOVG be distinguished? Only by the sequence of their recognition? |

Level 1. The Hall of Fame Level 2. Purgatory (players that belong in the HOF) Level 3. HOVG (equal in size to the HOF) The number of players to include at present: 1. 231 2. 56 (Including Trouppe) 3. 231 For a total of the top 518 players eligible. (Including players not eligible, e.g., active, banned or NABBP stars, it comes to about the top 600 players of all time.) I do not plan to try and fill up the HOVG any time soon, so anyone is welcome to do that project.

I think this would be a good idea. It would be very fun.

And the "Top 100 Pitchers" directed by jjpm, which actually named 200 in batches of twenty. How is that different from filling the HOVG? |
