As far as the young man with the hitting stick, I think he is getting his hands flat but I do not believe that is what he is trying to demonstrate. It appears he is working on back elbow down, front elbow up and is feeling how he can make it happen just by rotating the bat forward/aft. Hard to say with absolute certainty what the boy is working on, but that is my perception since you asked....
Now back to the Epstein cue.... You say you don't think it is a bad cue, but can you tell me why you do/don't like it? I am curious how you would go about using it or if you use something similar to achieve the same end result....
