Thanks PhillyFan, that's very gracious of you. The Phils scared me till the very last out, so you have a team to be proud of. They'll be back - they're the best team in the NL by far, and probably the only NL team that would put up a good fight in the AL and AL East.

Yeah, seriously.

I wonder if this will put an end to the whole "yankees will never win in the new stadium, they are cursed, blah, blah" thing?

Congrats guys! I was really pulling for you guys, and if it wasn't for work Friday, I'd be right there for the parade. Really magical season, that I can be proud to be a part of. From the moment I stepped foot inside on April 3rd, I knew something was special... So enjoy the offseason, lets keep BBF as active as possible and we will sure be back at it come free agent signing time.

And yeah, I think it is most likely happening. But not before them moving to the Prudential Center for 2 years after this year. That's the word on the street. I'm more of a Knicks fan, but these guys (Nets) will bend over backwards to please you. I had courtside seats last Friday for 80 each, and free tickets tonight.

Thanks, man for those sentiments and it was good having you aboard, at least for the World Series.

What a way to begin building history in the new Yankee Stadium. That is how you make memories. Congratulations to all of you that are Yankees' fans. I am envious...it has been 19 years since we have been in the series. Who am I? A Reds fan!

I was wrong about a curse upon new Fakee Stadium.

History was made and I was wrong.

Still do not like what the Yankee ownership did and the business plan they hold on to, in my opinion, will be ruinous to the team in the future.

But clearly there is not a curse.

I was proud of my team again last night.

Thanks. You guys have a great team, and i can really see the Yankees and Phillies having a world series rivalry for a few years, both teams are the class of their leagues.

A thank you from a Yankee fan.
My opinion, the Yanks beat the best the NL had to offer.
Watching the NL post season, the team I had the most concern with, the Phillies, this team is loaded.

I would bet they make a return to the NL post season and maybe even the WS next season.

What classy Philly fans on this board. Chase Utley is one hell of a player. I love watching him hit. Great job by Pettitte last night, what a great post season pitcher he's been for the Yanks. He is making a case for the HOF, if he can get to 250 wins I think he's in. Couldn't help but feel bad for Mussina, wish he could have been around for this. I think Girardi had a much better WS than he had the ALCS.. Thanks for the great year Yankees!!

Wow, if those trophies belonged to the Mets, the auction houses would be very busy! Still can't find out who sold the 1986 trophy !!!!!!!!!!
