MLB.TV has dropped "Condensed Games"

>Where are the condensed games?
>I saw them this winter when I first subscribe the the TV package, now I >cannot find them.

Dear Fan:

Thank you for your email. We apologize for the difficulty you experienced in reaching us.

I am sorry to inform you but we are not offering the condense games feature.

>As a compromise, may I suggest that links be provided to condensed games >from 2006 and 2007 that have been archived?

Unfortunately we are not able to provide the 2006 and 2007 condense games. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have cause you.

====

I had been hoping to use the condensed games to review about 90% of the plays in enahncing the Retrosheet records, primarily in adding batted ball locations.

The full games are still archived back to the beginning of 2006, but they have chosen not to retain archives of the condensed games. I'd rather spend 10 minutes watching only the last pitch of each plate appearance than three hours watching the whole game.

Chris at Seeing Reds has been livid about this over the past few weeks:

I really am half-expecting pitchf/x to just disappear from Gameday at some point as well. Let's hope not.

Edit: The archives thing is just amazing though. Why on earth remove something that is already complete? It actually takes more effort to REMOVE it than to keep it!

I don't really think they removed the files from the archives. The GameDay Audio menu page was redesigned, with no links to Condensed Games, and new links added. To provide links to archives, they'd have to redo the menu again.

Anyone know how to spider video? lol

If I had known there would be no condensed games this year, I doubt I would have renewed my subscription.

"As per your email to MLB.com, your subscription to MLB.TV has been cancelled and you will receive no subsequent monthly billings. You do have access until May 5th, at which time your subscription will be completely terminated."

At least I signed up monthly, so I paid $15 for 30 days of service. Watching the Cubs & Pirates right now.

They're Back!!

Just saw that the condensed games are back on the menu, including the archives for 2006-07. 2008 links have "free video" icon, but asked me to subscribe when I clicked on it.
