Well, we now have blogs here on BBF and I might as well get into the action. As many of you know, I am a Reds fan and so far, this offseason for the Reds has been active.
The hiring of manager Dusty Baker was not exactly who I was looking for in a manager. I had really hoped the Reds could get a big name and bring back excitement to the Riverfront (exciting here up on the hills but nothing good happening down there).
Now, I wish that the Reds would trade Alex Gonzalez. It is someone not mentioned often but I like the way Jeff Keppinger has been playing and I am sure some teams would trade a decent pitcher for a great shortstop. As for a backup, I'm sure Jorge Cantu and Brandon Phillips could fill in.
I believe the Reds should also try to sign Jae Seo to a minor league contract. He has shown signs of greatness but is on the low end of the stick right now. Seo could be a valuable player to have in the wings.
Another person the Reds should try to get is Josh Fogg. Fogg has done a decent job in an already hitting friendly ballpark. I think he could fit very well in the GABP.

Dusty Baker doesn't really strike me well and was wondering about Bob Brenly, Phil Garner, Ken Macha, or maybe Davey Johnson. Dusty Baker came with a bad reputation and I kinda don't want his reputation to cause bad play in Cincinnati.
