Will be interesting to see if this takes off. Saw a Youtube once of a minor leaguer hitting in cricket and smashing it
A minor league baseball player will 'smash it in cricket ' for sure if the delivery is similar to a baseball pitch as a baseball batter has good hand eye co-ordination and timing and of course the width of a cricket bat is very helpful in these instances.Very few 'pitches' in cricket fall into this category however...those are called full tosses and are generally a gift to the batter caused by a 'pitching' error or wet ball, etc. A baseball player suddenly trying their hand in cricket would be facing a very different set of circumstances than what they are commonly used to with the rising ( off the ground) ball as opposed to the falling ball which arrives after travelling only through the air.
