Clarence "Cito" Gaston is definitely best known for piloting the Blue Jays to World Series triumphs in 92 and 93 rather than his career as an outfielder but his 1970 season is EXACTLY what we are talking about.
1970 age 26 29/93/.318/.364/.543 Gadzooks!
In his 11 year career Gaston only had 4 seasons with over 350 PAs. His bests:
16/61/.269/.313/.386
This is a classic outlier. How this happened in Jack Murphy is even odder.
