After thinking long and hard about this entire era, I have come to the conclusion that I'm sure many of you already have.

I'm done with the steroids talk. I'm done bashing Bonds, I'm done bashing Clemens, and I'm not about to start bashing Rodriguez.

Put them all in. The only person associated with this era that needs to be kept out of the Hall of Fame is Bud Selig.

Bonds owns the home run record, and he is one of the five best players of all-time, though I still do not think he is THE greatest. Clemens is one of the five greatest pitchers of all-time, though I still do not think he is THE greatest. Rodriguez could very well end up being the greatest player of all-time.

I'm through with thinking that baseball can be like it was when I was growing up. I'm done with thinking that Bonds and Clemens are "cheaters" and that their stats should not count. I'm tired of fighting with people about these things. I'm tired of talking about this era.

That being said, I recant all my negative statements made about Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Mark McGwire, Jason Giambi, Andy Pettitte, Pudge Rodriguez, and Raffy Palmiero, though I stand by all my statements made about Jose Canseco or those that "tattled" on fellow teammates. Canseco, like Bud Selig, made a great profit exploiting the use of PEDs in baseball.
