  • Feel Bad For You Guys

    Hi.

    Indians fan here.

Just want to say I feel really bad for you O's fans, given what the last decade has been like.

You guys are very brave to be sticking with this team, considering the owner and that the Orioles have gotten rid of so many players.

Hard to believe that my team and your team once had a great rivalry in the mid 1990s.

You guys deserve better. As an Indian fan, I suffered some ugly seasons too.

I don't see the fortunes of the O's improving anytime soon. Sadly, until Angelos sells (which I don't see happening with the sons involved), it will be more of the same old song & dance as it has been for the past decade.

It has been tough. But I feel MacPhail will be able to turn it around. He's made alot of great moves so far. Plus I think the Gibbons release shows he has full control. That was alot of money for Angelos to eat, but he did it.

I do like to look on the bright side of these losing seasons though. I can go the ballpark whenever I feel like it and never have to worry about a sell out. Of course it would probably be alot more fun if they were winning.

Mets/White Sox fan. I spent a weekend heavily immersed in Orioles fans last July (In Cooperstown). O's fans are the best to be around! I really hope that your long period of darkness is ending and that MacPhail is given the same leeway to build that Cashen/Peters/Hemond got.

Hopefully that all changes this year. So far, we're 5-1. The one loss to Tampa doesn't seem so bad now that they beat the Yanks up worse than us. With Pitchers like Sarfate and Sherrill in pen, we've seemed to improve drastically in that department. Missing Tejada hasn't shown any ill effects to date. It would be nice if we could keep this trend going.

Shame the Indians are kind of slow-ish out of the gate too.

O's are rolling though...That's all I care about.

You've got that right. Let's hope that old Orioles Magic sticks around for a while! We can still pick up Game 2 of this double-header if we get our act together.
