Wow, that's a tough one. I did find the lyrics to the recent "A World of Orioles Baseball" by Jason Seimer however:

Thats not it J.W. I dont know how far back you go as an orioles fan? but when i was 9 years old back in 1970 i turn on the radio and listen to the game cause Back in those days you cant watch the orioles on TV when they played at memorial stadium. And i remember part of the lyrics and when i type this **** That means word is missing and i forgot that part of song so here it goes. So turn the clock back to the summer of 1970 and the orioles are playing the Cleveland indians at memorial stadium. As i walk over to radio and

(turns on radio)"Click" Oh..Orioles Baseball,,""Ding dat dat Ding"" **** **** **** Slowly its Being There ,In the sun ,Having fun ,,Together,,Oh Orioles Baseball ""Ding dat dat Ding**** **** Being One ,,Together (Narrator,,, Its orioles baseball on WBAL RADIO 11 The Home of championship baseball,,All orioles games are bought to you by ,The National Brewing Co,Colt 45 mult liquor,Coca Cola bottling co.and comerical credit) Oh Orioles baseball is everyone having fun being in one,,, Together,, (Narrator,,,And now heres play by play of the game Chuck Thompson and Bill ODonnel) Come on Together... Come on Together...Come on Together...( Game at the stadium,,Backgroud crowd noise and cheering "Rex Barney PA" Batting 4th right fielder Frank Robinson,,,Backgroud crowd noise and cheering Batting 5th 3rd baseman Brooks Robinson,,,Backgroud crowd noise and cheering.."Chuck thompson speaks" Well good evening everyone from memorial stadium in baltimore))))

Now Do you Remember those Days J.W ? Now could you get the lyrics? Unless your not old enough to remember 1970 orioles on radio?

Nope. Not alive through most of the '70s.

If I've ever head the song, I don't remember it. We need some other guys like Hagersbush and bkmckenna to chime in on this.

Yeah, I was 8 years old in 1970. Remember the song very well. Part of the lyrics were-"more hits, more runs, more than the average game.".. I went to my first game on June 18th of 71. The O's fell behind the Yanks 4-0, but stormed back to win 6-4. Andy Etchebarren knocked Thuman Munson out cold on a collision at the plate, after a double by Blair. They had to carry him off the field on a stretcher.

You gotta remember just how those days were differant then today.Back in those days very few games were televised localy from memorial stadium on TV 13. Not even the Home opener was televised back in 1970.Orioles had 60 games on TV all of them are on the road. But heres the trick how to watch Orioles home games on TV back in 1970s.If you remember turning to WTOP channel 9 in washigton with a big roof antenna and you turn it toward south you pick up channel 9 when the old senators played the orioles in baltimore. Then you turn the sound down and play WBAL Radio its like having home anouncers. But today you can watch all games on TV localy.

Yeah, I grew up in Spring Grove Pa., a paper mill town, just north of The Mason Dixon Line. I remember the hazy black and white broadcasts from Baltimore back in those days....I remember watching in joy, as Don Buford charged the mound on Bart Johnson in 71 in Chicago. They had a big fight, and some White Sox fan grabbbed Frank Robinson's hat, as the fight spilled over by the on deck circle. I think it the first time I saw a bench clearing brawl, and I loved it (was always more of a punk than a hippie)....anyway, those days were much better. Now most of the mystery is gone, thanks to over saturation of cable TV, and greed in so many corners. I feel so blessed to have lived through the glory years of the 66-71 teams, and then later, the Oriole Magic years of 79-83. Sadly, those days are gone forever. I'm grateful for the memories, which I hope to pass on to my young son.

Hey i saw that game too and the one that was almost a fight in minnesota as well from the old met. Elrod Hendricks was hit by a pitch from Jim Perry and he had words to say to him and then when McNally took the mound Hit Tony Oliva and then McNally had words to say to him Oliva approach towards McNally And then both dugouts cleared But nothing happend just a a big scene on the field.Back in those days you better not mess with the orioles cause they dont put up with any crap from anyone.

This is the version I not only know by heart, but have a copy of on my computer (though the first couple seconds is missing and it was recorded from WBAL from Annapolis)

                  Oriole Baseball!

                  (music)

It's a father and son, having fun, together!

                  (music)

It's you and your #1, underneath the lights or in the sun... Having fun... Together.

                  (music)

radio Announcer - It's time now for Oriole Baseball, on radio 11, WBAL... The home of championship radio... Now with Baltimore Oriole play-by-play, Chuck Thompson and Bill O'Donnel..

                  (music)

                  (song fading out)
Oriole Baseball..... Oriole Baseball..... Oriole Baseball.....

This version was from either September 73 or April 74. What's cool about it is I had recorded the first few innings of the game (Angels at Baltimore) and Chuck Thompson announced the pitching match-ups for the weekend series against the A's.... Jim Palmer vs. Vida Blue on Friday night... and Dave McNally vs. Catfish Hunter on Saturday... WOW!!

On another note... The reason I had saved this cassette tape all these years is because of what I had recorded on the flip side of the tape. I'll give you a hint... It was a baseball game that was on WJZ Channel 13 on Monday night, April 8, 1974.

                  Cheers

                  .

                    1970's Orioles

That was a great baseball theme song. I miss the cartoon Bird hats and Memorial stadium. Wonder what Tom Shopay is doing today?

And you gotta remember this.Back in those days the orioles carry only 65 games on TV.5 at home and 60 on the road. And those 5 were from memorial stadium were opening day, vs yankees,vs redsox vs Senators and vs cleveland all were on wednesday night. And when the Senators played at memorial stadium i turned on channel 9 and turn the volume down and bring my radio and listen to chuck thompson that was the loophole around when the orioles were not televised.I bet D.C Fans did the exact something when WJZ TV televised orioles vs senators at RFK.No wonder the senators moved to texas. When the orioles made the playoffs they were on NBC TV which was channel 11 back then. And the rule was Orioles must draw a sellout before playoff game be televised localy and game 3 was vs the twins had 53,000 at there the orioles swept the twins 3 games. But game 2 in minnesota was not televised WCCO TV in minnapolis cause the met didnt sellout but it was carried in baltimore. But World Series games were Televised localy No Matter what. Boy i do miss them days,

                          Televised games

Good information Buck. Times sure have changed. I still like listening to a game on the radio and Chuck Thompson was as good as they came. "Ain't The Beer Cold!"
