  • Opening Day upon us

OK fellas, any last thoughts before we begin the grind?

I'm partially optimistic, believe it or not. Luis Matos had a good spring, as did Nick Markakis... Ramon Hernandez is going to be a real solid catcher, and our young pitching should get better with experience and behind Mazzone.

If only we weren't in the AL East! It's such a hopeless feeling. But sooner or later, it will happen: someone not named the Yankees or Red Sox will win the division (actually, more like someone not named the Yanks, but the Sawx are always in the WC hunt anyways).

Is Chris Ray eligible for the ROY?

Hmmm... Ray was a September callup last year if I believe. That should qualify him. Speaking of which:

      Orioles 9, Devil Rays 6

Chris Ray picked up his first save of the season and his career. Three up, three down in the 9th.

He wasn't a September callup; he was called up in July or whatever. Then he got sent down, then he got called up again.

Good Offense-Believe it or not Rodrigo gets the win & his numbers aren,t all that bad.He gave mazzone his 7 full innings & that is what they want
their starters to do.Hawkins got a hold & Chris Ray pitched a 123 ninth
for the save.homers by Matos Mora back to back tied the game &
            Tejada, Conine also homered.
