Strange Bird

I found this picture of Hoyt Wilhelm with the Orioles. The cartoon bird on the sleeve is strange, very white, looks like Donald Duck. I remember seeing a very comprehensive evaluation of the evolution of the Orioles cartoon bird logo. But can't find the thread as of now. Thought I would share this.
