    Former Red Sox infielder Eddie Pellagrini passed away on Wednesday. He was part of the Pennant-winning 1946 team.

        There should never be a time where I have 3 RIPs in my sig. Not a good week for baseball, for its lost 3 friends. RIP Eddie

          A local boy who made it to the big game with the hometown team, but was unfortunate to play understudy to two of the greatest infielders in Red Sox history during the prime of their careers...

          The greatest thing to happen to him was the move down Comm. Ave. to BC where he built an excellant baseball program in his 30 years as head coach, culminating in an induction into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

          He will be missed by the Eagles and by all Boston area baseball fans.
