As usual, thanks for doing this, Annie. I get so busy sometimes...it's tough to keep track of things. Your efforts are very much appreciated!

Umass baseball schedule has it listed at 4/18/06 and 4/25/06.

        LET'S GO MINUTEMEN!!!!!
"As I grew up, I knew that as a building (Fenway Park) was on the level of Mount Olympus, the Pyramid at Giza, the nation's capitol, the czar's Winter Palace, and the Louvre — except, of course, that is better than all those inconsequential places." - Bart Giamatti

You go through The Sporting News of the last 100 years and you will find two things are always true. You never have enough pitchers, and nobody ever made money.

I've updated the schedule with the radio broadcast schedule, and will include the scores as links to the game wrapups from redsox.com.

Nice debut for Coco -- 3 for 3, single, double, triple, RBI... Papelbon dinged by a comebacker (ankle)... check the link for more.

Did anyone hear the game? I couldn't get it to come in up here in Radio Free Vermont.

It didn't even occur to me that the games would be broadcast on WEEI. :radio Probably a good thing; I think I would have felt sick hearing that Papelbon was nailed by a come-backer. I'm glad Coco had a very nice start. I think I speak for everyone when I say I hope it's a sign of good things to come.

I know. It was the top of the 8th before I realized it was on and I only caught until the top of the 9th. I might just catch the radio broadcast today.

                      It's Baseball!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunny, warm enough to open windows; Red Sox on WEEI, crowd noises, crack of the bat. Giant Glass commercials. Dunkin commercials.

Dark chocolate at hand. Nice navel oranges to snack on. Needlepoint Christmas decorations that need a simple continental stitch for background, to help keep my nervous hands busy.

Split pea soup with nice meaty pork neck bones plopping away, cooking itself.

Cat napping on the window sill.

This years schedule at hand to review the home/away stands. Items gathering to arrange for this years "shrine". New: a Red Sox heavy board license plate, my letter from DZ, in green ink, that he used to fill out an ACLS scorecard, he wrote me when he sent me a 2004 Tshirt. (Whee!)

My Remy signed, very stained mojo baseball hat. Mojo Wally, sitting in the hat. Various pictures from the Sunday Globe.

I was looking over the box score from today's game against the D-Rays (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore?gid=260306130) and I realized that the out of the 16 players in the lineup, I only know Youkilis and Graffanino. The pitchers making appearances today don't really fare much better, either. I can tell it's going to take a while for me to develop a feel for this team. If they struggle at all, it could take me all season.

I know what you mean, Flash. It's tough to keep interested in spring training games, but things'll settle down by Opening Day. (I hope!)

If anyone else wants to help keep the scores updated, that'd be cool with me. The scores as I've posted them are links to the game stories on redsox.com -- red for a win, blue for a loss.... I get busy and fall behind.

Did anyone read the ESPN insider article that the Sox were already looking to trade Graffanino? Sheesh. This is going to be a tough season for all fans.
