I think it's a good deal all around. Tito takes all kinds of crap on the call in shows and in the media about his in-game managing, but he's bought into the Red Sox system, manages the demands of Boston well, and the players seem to support and respect him. yes i'm glad we finally got that deal done. terry is one of the best managers in the league and to lock him up for so long is great for the 'sox.

I don't know if he's the best, but he is certainly a good fit for the team philosophy. There are some excellant managers out there who wouldn't mesh nearly so well.
