Am I the only one who thinks that a Dropkick Murphys song should replace Dirty Water as the first song played when the Sox win a home game? Tessie is more lively, better to sing along to, and most importantly, it's by a Boston band for the sake of the Red Sox themselves. Nothing against Dirty Water, but I think it should be moved down to second or third. The opening piano notes of Tessie or the mandolin of I'm Shipping Up To Boston have more impact than the single-note guitar line of Dirty Water. And before anybody tells me it's a long Boston tradition, Dirty Water has only been used as Sox games since 2001.
