I'd like to see what your Greenville roster looks like. It's going to be interesting to see how they handle Michael Almanzar and Will Middlebrooks at 3B. I'm also wondering how the rotation will look. I'd also like them to give Stolmy Pimentel a 2009 promotion.

I see Almanzar and Middlebrooks splitting third base and Dent and Gibson splitting second base at least for at the start of the Greenville season. Greenville roster its very talented, but also very young.

I guess that you did, 2008 its the last year the Sox will be in Lancaster, the organization purchased Salem's (rights) and will have a high A team in 2009.

Do you think the Sox would consider putting Almanzar in Lowell for the start of 2009? I don't think he proved enough with Greenville and I think it would be better if he played closer to Boston so that the team can keep tabs on him 24/7. They invested a lot of money in this kid. I remember hearing a story from the 2008 season about him missing a game because he slept through his alarm clock.

Plus, it would open up for PT for Middlebrooks with Greenville and more PT for Almanzar with Lowell. Then eventually Almanzar would move back up to Greenville if he shows some progress with Lowell and Middlebrooks would move up to Salem.

On another note...where is Casey Kelly our 2008 1st round draft pick? I'd assume he'd start with the GCL Red Sox. The only reason he got promoted to Lowell was because the GCL season ended and he needed more AB's. Plus, if he's going to go back to pitching I'd rather he start with the GCL Sox.

As a 17 yrs in Greenville Almanzar hit for a 207 average in 140 AB in Greenville with with 5 doubles, 2 tripples and 2 HR. Middlebrooks who just turned 20 yrs this week hit for a 254 hitting average in 209 AB at Lowell with 17 doubles 2 tripples and 1 HR. Considering age, level of competetion and production it doesn't show Middlebrooks ahead of Almanzar at this time, which its why i have them splitting the position at greenville to start the 2009 season.

Kelly hit for a 344 average in 32 AB in Lowell with 5 doubles and 1 tripple to close the minor league season. a small sample, but still a sample. I believe that Kelly will be a SS in 2009 and he will start at Greenville

There's talk that Sox prospect John Drake Britton is going to have TJ surgery this coming week. If this happens it will be a hit to the organization pitching prospects, specially to the left handers as Britton was projected to pitch at Greenville in 2009 and will be out all of 2009.

Just a little nitpick: Kottaras is on the 40-man toster.
