  • My Red Sox Blog

Hey guys sorry if you really dont like advertising but I've started a Sox blog and I would really like some feedback. I'm a 17 year old guy living in New York. I used to live in Maine and during the spring and summer the Sox are my life. My Blog is pretty much just my thoughts on issues that I see on other sites since I don't get anything but ESPN and YES(Yankees Network) up here. So yeh.... here's the link My Blog Please leave comments.

    Ordway,

Welcome to Baseball-Fever; we hope this isn't your one and only post here. Although BBF does have a no-solicitation policy, it is aimed primarily at commercial sites. Your blog is driven by baseball and isn't a place where you hawk wares for personal profit. Unless anyone else takes exception with this piece of promotion, I'm going to leave it for now.

One bit of caution, however: if your only purpose for coming here is to lure BBF members to your blog, your future posts might face the axe. We would much rather have you participate as an active member with an outside interest, than have you as a member in name only who trolls for visitors to his own site. You certainly wouldn't be the first or only member at BBF to be active elsewhere in addition to BBF.

    Welcome aboard.

            Ordway:

Since you've already been officially welcomed by Flash, a long-time Boston Red Sox fan and a co-Mod here, I'll extend my welcome to you as a baseball fan, even if of a certain team 206 miles south.

Please do share your views here of the BoSox team. From its rich history, games of yore, the front office, managers, coaches, and of course, the players.

Which were some of your favorite Red Sox years, how do you feel about the current team? Any offerings you may post here on Varitek, Big Papi, Papelbon, Manny, Crisp, I'm sure would go over here very nicely. If you've also got views on Teddy, Yaz, Doerr, Pesky, Rice, Dewey, Fisk, Boyd, Vaughn, Clemens, please share those views as well.

This is a very wonderful place for Red Sox fans (and visitors from other forums, as you'll eventually find), so if there's something good you'd like to post about the team as a whole, please do let us know how you feel.
Please read Baseball Fever Policy and Forum FAQ before posting. 2007-11 CBA

              Welcome, Ordway, to BBF!

Let me echo the sentiments of Flash and Matt: we would be more than happy to have someone with as much knowledge about the Sox and baseball in general contributing to the discussions here. :atthepc

My niece, an avid Sox fan, is facing your same problem; she's attending college in upstate New York and is cut off from Sox games on TV and the radio. Drives her crazy!
