  • SOX drub Pinstripers!

The following are the articles that appear in the NY papers this AM after last night's all-around drubbing of the pinstripers by the SOX. Enjoy....

Oh, how Boss George hates getting that infamous "Back Page" to himself, for all the wrong reasons.

    Some things are soooo sweet!

With George on the war path...there is no way in hell he is going to let us get Roger. If the Boss has to spend 50 million on him, he will, just to keep him out of a Sox uniform.

Sloppy defense always costs you, especially with a pitcher who has trouble getting things together...Goes to show what amazing things teams can do when given second, third, and fourth chances in a game.

As for Boss George never letting the SOX land Roger Clemens.....maybe, maybe not!

Consider this scenario.....if Roger goes into the HOF as a Red Sox, then, maybe, just maybe, he's thinking along the lines that he would like to "come full circle" and end his career in Boston. For sure, he doesn't need the $$$$.

Hopefully, he/his agent will approach the SOX front office on a day when they are all thinking with clear heads. If that happens, I am sure the SOX could easily match any $$ Boss George flirts with...no matter how high! The SOX just have to want him as badly as Boss George wants to keep him away from the SOX. IMO, it's that simple.

Clemens is playing the comeback game his way....the Astros and Rangers are just smoke screens. He's taking dead aim at Boston and NY. In the end, his decision rests with which team will mean more to his HOF career.

        Stay tuned...

How come this thread doesn't make any mention of last night's game?

Well, the Yanks had to win something that series, didn't they?

Anyway, congrats to the Sawx. They won fair and square. Of course, we'll have to take Unit out to the back room the next time he does that to us again.
