    Second Baseman, Bobby Doerr, 1986 Baseball Hall Of fame electee and career Red Sox player (1937-1951) has become the oldest living major leaguer following the death of Eddie Carnett on November 4. Carnett (MLB career: 1941-1945) lived to the age of 100 years and 14 days. Doerr is currently 98 years and 7 months of age.
