I went to this game... There was a play at first base that I have never seen before. The ball was hit on a hop to Konerko at first. He went to scoop the ball, and glanced off the top of his glove and got stuck (buried rather) in his jersey! He had to stop on the way to the bag and try to dig the ball out. The runner ended up being safe, but from where I was sitting, you couldn't even see the ball!
                WAR? Prove it!

That play was funny.Everyone had a good laugh over it.Konerko and the 1st base ump just had to laugh over it.

Hawk had to laugh about it in the booth yesterday.

                    3/5; Diamondbacks 6,White Sox 5

A White Sox rally fell short in the 9th inning as the Sox dropped to 0-6 in Cactus League play with a 6-5 loss to Arizona at Tucson this afternoon. The Sox rallied for 2 runs in the 8th,nad 2 in the 9th,but it was not enough.

THE GOOD; Starter Jose Contreras gave up a run on 5 hits in 3 innings of work.He worked out of a 1 out, runners at the corners jam in the 1st inning by striking out Connor Jackson swinging and Damion Easley looking.

CF Brian Anderson tripled and scored in the 3rd inning.

THE BAD; Once again,Sox pitching gave up 10+ hits in the game.

I cant remember too well, but there was a play last regular season when the ball got stuck in the webbing of konerko's glove, and he had to throw the whole glove to the pitcher covering first. That was hilarious.

Didn't Orlando Hernandez? do that with the Yankees a couple years back?
                        Johnson and now Goligoski gone.
                        I hope that's all.

I've seen this happen a few times. When David Segui was a Mariner, he had to make a similar play.
