  • Who Will Have a Monster Season?

    Simple question here Sox fans.

Which player do you think is going to have that breakout All-Star season,or just flat out put up those monster all-around numbers that we've all been dreaming about?

I'll start off and nominate JOE...... CREDE!!!!!!!!

I think his offensive numbers will go up big time this year, meaning .270,27,90.
    That's my prediction for Crede.

I agree with Joe being the player with the breakout season. With the way he played at the end of the year and into the postseason, hopefully he can remember what he did right and use that to his advantage this year.

      breakout

I agree with Joe Crede, but I think he already has broken out. I really think hes gonna hit with a lot of power this year, maybe not average, but have a nice glove like always. I'm also gonna have to say Javier Vazquez, because I think he's in the right environment with all the latinos, and Don cooper can really fix him up. Of course there's jenks, who still has to prove he can last a full season, but he should definetly get 30 saves. And with Iguchi probably batting 6-7th, he could have very high batting statistics. it looks like I'm gonna name every player here, but I'll also say Anderson, who won't necasarily be an allstar, but could certainly do a lot more than everyone expects him to do.

That would be nice but I have my doubts. I don't want to sound pessimistic but I think we'll see the same Crede we've been seeing. Very streaky. Get's real hot. Get's real cold. Very sound on defense. Best clutch hitter on the team.

I think we'll see numbers improve for Iguchi if he bats down in the order with Uribe taking his spot.

Thome could easily win comeback player of the year if he stays healthy.

How about chemistry? So far the good guys are 0-3 early in spring training. I know this doesn't mean much yet but look what's happened in the off season.
        1. Uribe's best buddy Timo is gone. How will Uribe feel without his pal around?
        2. Crede's buddy Rowand is gone who we all will miss.
        3. Contreras is already second guessing himself making comments about his confidence and how El Duque helped him along all last season. If Contreras doesn't start the season the way he ended it, his confidence will drop into the gutter without his best pal around to give him a pep talk.

        We shall see.:gt
