new monolith thingy at US Cellular Field

They recently unveiled a new big black monolithy looking thingy at US Cellular Field.

Has anyone seen it in person or has photos of it? Can't find any images of it.

How big is it?

Is it commemorating the 2005 World Series or other championships too?

I managed to find some photos. Good gracious it's huge! If the White Sox win more World Series in the near future, will they have to install more of these behemoths?

Imagine if the Yankees put up one of those beasts for every championship... there'd be no room to park in the Bronx. :cap:

This is one of those "problems" that I'm sure Sox fans would love to have ! I think it's pretty cool looking.
I would love to see something like that at the new Citi Field for the Mets '69 & '86 champions.

I think it's pretty stupid. There are metal limbs that sort of "come out" of the 2d picture that's actually on the flat surface of the statue.

It's hard to describe but the picture on the surface is dark, and the stone is dark so it looks like a big, black hunk of doo doo with arms and gloves coming out of it. :thumbdown:



The White Sox are statue happy at this time.
