  • Boone Logan Makes the Team

The inprobable rise of 21-year-old White Sox pitcher Boone Logan took an eventful turn this afternoon as Manager Ozzie Guillen announced that Logan has made the 25-man Opening Day roster.

Logan, who never pitched above A-ball,impressed this spring by sporting a microscopic 0.87 ERA this spring.

    Wow.
If Lopez couldn't make the team given his spring, I'd say that's a pretty good indication of our pitching strength. With McCarthy, who proved his starting worthiness last year, in the bull-pen, Cotts, Politte, and a healthy Hermanson joining him, and an in-shape Jenks closing, if Logan can keep this up we've got ourselves a REALLY strong bull-pen. And if one falters, we've got Lopez or Redding to fall back on. I'm not expecting too many blowouts against us this year.

    Johnson and now Goligoski gone.
    I hope that's all.
