He's actually having a decent spring, last I heard he only struck out once in 19 atbats. Of course it is only spring training but if he does somehow have a great year the Sox are in this.

He only needs to hit .250 to become the comeback player of the year considering how bad he was.
I also think he will have a blounceback although I don't think he will become as good as he used to be. probably .250 with 33 HRs or so.I now have my own non commercial blog about training for batspeed and power using my training experience in baseball and track and field.

Some hitters who are used to playing the field their whole career don't adjust so well to sitting on the bench for most of the game and being asked to dh full time unless you are someone like David Ortiz. It is easier for players to stay loose and in the game if they are playing the field, and they have been using Dunn in the field some this spring. He will be fine this year, I just think they should let him get more time in left field or 1st base. He never was that horrible in the field to begin with..never was all that slow considering his size. He is still early 30's and the prodigious home run power is still there..use him in the field more = 40+ bombs again.

I guess he said that the hernia he suffered at the beggining of last year was a major reason why he did so bad. He said he came back to early because he felt bad for sitting on the bench after signing a big contract.
Plus i'm sure Guillen didnt make it easier on the guy by using him as a pawn to make Kenny Williams look bad. He's probaly gonna feel alot of pressure this year but hopefully not as much."(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. I felt that he was rushed back from the appendix, think he had a few early HRs and was hitting OK before that happened.
Honestly, Dunn could hit .200 and it would be considered a comeback..."If I drink whiskey, I'll never get worms!" - Hack Wilson

You might be right he could end up hitting 200 but he's gotta be the best 200 hitter in baseball history. I think he's hitting 220 now. He hit another homerun today and he got on base 4 times. It's almost comical what kind of year he's having."(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. Two more homeruns tonight which gives him 41 for the year. His 2nd homerun was probably the biggest homerun hit this year for the Whitesox."(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. I always thought he was more sinned against than sinning." -- Connie Mack
