I think he won't become as good as he was in his prime but a lot better than last season of course.

I guess about 30 HRs with a .245 average or so.

I think he probably just came back too soon after his appendectomy last year and was never quite the same for all of 2011. My prediction would be that he rebounds this year and put up pretty decent numbers once again.

I think he'll have a great year - hitting around 40 home runs.

He had a good Spring Training, not that it means much, but I'm sure it's better for his psyche than having a bad Spring Training.

He seems to be better even though last I saw he was still batting 150. I dont know how good he can be but a even if he bats 240 thats still not a good year. I suppose with his high walk rate he can be somewhat valuable.

                Absolutely.

.267 career high to .350. He is barely hitting over .200 right now.

Heck, Kingman got closer than dunn ever will, he hit .288 one year.

Yikes. His 0-4 day with 4 strikeouts doesn't bode very well.

The thing that made me mad is he needed to get the runner to third and he looked like he was swinging for the fences. I dont mind the strikeouts but he should at least play smarter in those situations.

he only has that one swing. his swing is rather long and if he doesn't swing really hard he will be late. he is not able to shorten up his swing so he really has to swing all out to get around on the fastball. he is an all or nothing hitter telling to go for contact would ruin him.

of course it will be harder for him anyway as he gets older and his batspeed declines but he really only can play one way.

telling him to just put the ball on play would be like telling mike tyson to box like larry holmes or wladimir klitschko instead of going for the KO. just doesn't work.

If Dunn hits .240 with 40HRs and 100BB, the ChiSox will be ecstatic. And it would be very much in line with most of his career...although who knows if he can get back to that.

already 8 HRs and hitting .250.

I'm not sure this is for real but at least he seems to be much better than last year.

Well he's got 17 homeruns now with 38 rbi's and a very impressive 381 obp. I'm pretty happy with him even though he's tied with Justin Verlander in strikeouts. He has really been great though.

                              152 ops too.
