  • Are the Sox for real?

Rios, Dunn and Peavy are playing very well which makes me wonder if having Ventura as manager instead of Guillen has made this team better. Time will tell but I think with this pitching staff and deep bullpen the Tigers may have some competition. Even Brett Morel is playing well and with a ex thirdbaseman like Ventura to watch over him he may even have a decent year. Konerko and Pierszynski are solid and our leadoff hitter seems to be halfway decent.

The playoffs aren't out of the question for this team. This Boston series will show alot.

    1. Jake Peavey
    2. Chris Sale
    3. Phillip Humber
    4. Johnny Danks
    5. Gavin Floyd

This is a pretty strong staff. I think it's better than Detroits and Verlander is no doubt a top 2 or 3 pitcher in baseball but with Fister questionable and Porcello getting hit hard they may be in more trouble than some experts think.

Things are looking up right now, but knowing the kind of misfortunes the Sox have been susceptible to in the past, I'll need to see more to believe it. The season is long, and we're not 20 games in yet.

That game yesterday really irked me.

Yeah I dont understand how they play so well on the road and so bad at home. Hopefully they can go to Detroit this weekend and do well.

Chris Sale and Jake Peavey are looking really good.

Jose Quintana pitched a great game today 8 innings with only two hits and the Sox became the only team too sweep the Texas Rangers today.

            What a series too.

Game 1 Sox win 19-2....Chris Sale with another great game.
Game 2 Sox win 5-4....Nice extra innings win
Game 3 Sox win 2-1....Jose Quintana pitched a great game

I hate to see Sale not pitch on Sunday but I do like how he'll be getting some rest.

Whats more amazing is the Sox have 9 rookies on this team.
